FotR League
« on: November 22, 2009, 06:56:50 PM »
I think its time to get a new league going. So, I have taken it upon myself to head the new (un)official league. If you are interested, please let me know. Once we have a minimum of 8 players, you can start submitting results on your FotR block games. At the moment, GCCG and other online platforms is our only way to do this. With success, hopefully we can open this to real life games!

Every month the highest rated player will be announced.

At the moment, the only rules of the League are that you use a FotR block legal deck, which includes all cards from sets 1-3.

R-list

Forces of Mordor

Your rating is based on a very simple ELO rating system.

Hi - i have never used GCCG etc. Is it easy to use?

I live in Australia so will it be too hard to play over the internet given timezone restrictions?

I am interested in playing in the league. I just need to sort out GCCG so I can play. Can you point me in the right direction to find this.

Cheers

Thanks Mr Lurtzy I will set it up tonight when I get home. I need to dig out my old decklists and see if any of them are still any good. Cheers Max

Already getting in touch with the game interface ^^ LOVE the idea of having virtual money and being able to keep a virtual collection and opening boosters! They should do a draft version of it ^^

It's almost like lotr online... but for free :D Sweet!

OK I downloaded the GCCG stuff last night and watched a game that was going on.

Just remind me again what cards we can use in the FotR league. Is it cards from first 3 releases minus any X listed (are there any from first 3 sets) and only one copy of R listed cards. Anyone have a list of R  cards.

I did download a starter deck but then got a bit confused about what I was doing and ran out of time. It looked good and brought back some distant memories from my playing days.

Cheers

Max

Forces of Mordor is the only R-listed card in FotR

Enjoy deckbuilding! GCCG isnt the slickest program for deckbuilding, so I recommend using SdA or Zorbec's Decklist Builder

Hi ket - that would be great - I am about to go to work but will be around the net in about 8hours - around 3:30 Aussie time - and have about 5 hours to play with (up till about 8:30pm). Give me an idea of what time and I will be there.
