Book is good enough for me to keep, I do not own a Aragorn, RotN, otherwise I'd use him. I like Legolas as general protection, if I were to take him out, he wouldn't be replaced. Grima is no problem. I could add Baruk Khazad if I needed, or like you suggested Preperations with Slaked thirsts. But this is a RL deck, and no one I play owns a Grima Wormtounge. If I played GCCG, I would add that, but The GCCG is broken for me right now.
As for forces, yes. So I suppose this should be open.

As for Grima, Wormtongue, I'll get one soon so maybe we can trade then xD...

Drop Aragorn to add a couple of DOOP, fits in better actually if you want an anti-swarm.
Also, cards like Troop of Uruk-hai will just destroy you, believe me, so play a couple of Flurry of Blows in combination with Loyalty Unshaken to be make your game safer, maybe drop one or two Dwarven Bracers.
But why aren't you playing Axe of Erebor and Gimli's Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon so that you got 2 strong hand weapons?

Aragorn > DOOP because that way I can play Aragron, whereas I have to hold DooP.

Troop is no trouble, considering it is only from weapons. Doesn't count rings, bracers, armor, etc... and Legolas is there to help as well.

And I don't like AoE or GB, TW.

FP: 37

Frodo, Little Master (anti-mill)
The One Ring, The Binding Ring (cycle)

Gimli, Opinionated Guide OR Counter of Foes (cycle)
Linnar, DL (muscle)

Durin III, Dwarven Lord (muscle)
Thrarin, Smith of Erebor (muscle)
Aragorn, RotN (Anti-Swarm)
Boromir, SoD (Buff)

Possessions:
Gimli's Battle Axe, Vicious Weapon (buff/cycle)
Hand Axe x4 (buff/cycle)
Dwarven Bracers x4 (buff/cycle)
Gimli's Helm (buff/cycle)
Gimli's Armor (buff/cycle)
Dwarven Axe x3 (buff/cycle)
Dwarven Armor (buff/cycle)
Belt of Erebor x2 (buff/cycle)
Ring of Guile (buff/cycle/recycle)
Ring of Fury (buff/cycle)
Ring of Accretion (buff/cycle)
Ring of Retribution (buff/cycle)
Book of Mazarbul (buff/cycle)

Conditions:
Endurance of Dwarves x2 (buff)
Still Twitching (buff)
Proud and Able (buff/recycle)

Events:
Argument Ready to Hand x2 (useful to the max)
More Yet to Come (useful to the max)
Storm of Argument x2 (recycle)

Here is the final deck. It works perfectly in an Open game. It can take just about anything. There's a lot of drawing, cycling, milling, recycling, and storing, all of which allow it to get any card it needs and keep it the entire game. The dwarves are near invincible. Another variant:

FP (32)

Gimli, BoG (16 res. total)
The One Ring, Ring of Rings or Binding Ring

Linnar, DL (muscle)
Durin III, Dwarven Lord (muscle)

Thrarin, Smith of Erebor (muscle)

Possessions:
Gimli's Battle Axe (buff)
Hand Axe x4 (buff)
Dwarven Bracers x4 (buff)
Gimli's Helm (buff)
Gimli's Armor or Dwarven Armor (buff)
Dwarven Axe x3 (buff)
Dwarven Armor (buff)
Belt of Erebor x2 (buff)
Ring of Guile (buff/recycle)
Ring of Fury (buff)
Ring of Accretion (buff)
Ring of Retribution (buff)
Book of Mazarbul (buff)

Conditions:
Endurance of Dwarves x2 (buff)
Still Twitching (buff)
Proud and Able x2 (buff/recycle)

Events:
Argument Ready to Hand x1 (useful to the max)
Storm of Argument x1
Storm of Argument OR More Yet to Come

The problem with this is the lack of cycling though. Different deck! Chokes nicely, giving  ~8 twilight a turn, except the turn you pull Thrarin, which usually gives 11+ the current region twilight add.

There is also the addition of a 33 card swarm Shadow deck to get cards out.

Cool! But I still like my deck. It's a consistent winner as well, the only trouble the first deck will have is none. Do me a favor and play it on the GCCG, see how it does. I would, but the GCCG isn't working for me and no one wants to help with that. :(

My favorite part about the first deck is that it can handle anything. No joke. ANYTHING! Just read every text of every card, you'll find a way around any problem.

Sharkey: Get on chat right now and I will help you get GCCG running if it is a Windows system. Otherwise, PM wlk or post in the Green Dragon forums.

Also, I don't play expanded or standard. I only play FoTR, Towers, Towers Standard, and Movie.
-wtk

Movie and TS actually are the best formats!

Sweet, let me get it running! Oh, and BTW... Argument Ready to Hand, AKA best card ever, can deal with Grima.
