Sorry to disagree, but MTG cheap?? I don't know your prices though, but everywhere else it's not cheap at all

Kid: ¡Yay! I want to start Magic! I think I'll make a White deck...

Shop guy: Ummm, okaaaay... uhh, so it's four Baneslayer angels, three Ajanis and four Honor of the Pure... uuummm, I'd also take a full playset of fetchlands, you know, to mana accel... it's, um, $400...

Kid: Well... what about an older format? Extended?

Shop guy: Okaaayy... four Figure of Destiny, four Chameleon Colossus, four Thoughtseize, duals, four Tarmogoyf...

Okay, okay, I was talking about Casual play and you're right, I was playing Standard during Coldsnap/Timespiral/Lorwyn times with 4x Garruk, 4x Siege-Gang Commander, Snow-Lands, and so on...

Ah, then you're right of course. I thought you were talking Standard. Casual is pretty fun, and the good thing about MTG is that it's SO easy to find cards.

And that's why I still play it even I have no Zendikar/Worldwake cards at all...

Here in Switzerland, MtG is dying, so I was able to buy about 20 or 25 boxes of Conflux and Alara Reborn for 5 Swiss Francs each or somewhat, and I was able to pay with my old NDS Games. (I also wanna say that I was able to buy Decks with Path into Exile which has a value of 10 Swiss Francs for just 5)

I'm not, and I bought some of the NDS games in a lost and found office and sold them for even more money in the Shop, so the 25 boxes were for about 100 Swiss Francs, which is about 100$, and I must say that I gave them games that I already played enough so they weren't interesting for me at all, so finally these boxes were nearly for free!
