Powersellers get phone calls?

They should at least refund your fees if they pull your auction.

I'm not suggesting this as a regular thing, but you could try a new thread in Esgaroth Marketplace using your Big Empty Box concept.

The idea would be the same: starting bid $1 and add items as the bids increase.
Disclose the end time/date for the bidding process, and then see what happens.
The only difference is that both you and the final bidder have the option to either agree upon the final result or walk away from it altogether, as opposed to being bound to the sale by ebay system.

In addition, you wouldn't have to use a Giant multicolored sales pitch or so many words.

Just a thought.  :-k
(and no I'm not encouraging him)

yeah that would be cool but i dont think the moderators of this site would allow such a thing. If they come in this thread and say its allowed then i will give it a shot. But the thing is everyone on this site thinks everything is so cheap. I would make probably 10x as much on ebay.

Like lets say i were to run this and start it at 1$ at 30$ some people on this site would expect to see 3 hunter booster boxes. Just not worth the stress.

I did list a sealed siege of gondor box for sell on ebay. I have a few more left that i will be listing.

Also I listed two 1000 count boxes of lotr foils, rares, unc, c and about 200+ cards are from sets the hunters and treachery and decit. Also rare cards too. And Foil promos and other stuff. So you can check that out if you want :)

It would be cool if we could have an auction forum or something on this site so we could all just buy from each other and bid from each other and avoid fees and such.

I don't know who...I think most would agree that Hunters boxes are more valuable than that.
BTW - If you have any, I'd be interested...

Not a bad idea, at least to provide the option.
Provisions maybe necessary to prevent an adverse impact on traders...maybe not.

I don't think there's been any scuttle about selling/auctioning in the general trading community.
As long as it doesn't involve soliciting or cascade into a monopoly effect...

Using the forum marketplace to buy and then resell is probably not a great idea, that's what ebay is for.
However if you have a surplus it would be a good place to post your goods.

I didn't bother bidding on it. I visited the seller before he listed the lot, and I bought all of the foil cards from sets 1, 4, 5, & 7. I gave him $20. He offered me the rest of the cards for $80 but I didn't need them, and then he ended up selling them for $130 imagine that.

I see you are selling your 0P15 swarmingUwithGoblins. Gandalf's Cart had the same one up for $130

Did you go to his store or something? What was in the lot? I wish i knew about this that it was a picked over lot. I never would have bid.

And he said it wasnt a picked over lot on the auction. Im glad i didnt win or i would have been mad as heck and wanted a refund.

Hey jord. Yeah I used gandalfs cart as a starting point for my store and listed almost everything a little cheaper then his store :)
I have sold some 0p10 Balrogs for about 18$ when others sell it for about 19.99

Yeah, I was calling around and found his card shop by chance. He said he had some cards in a box somewhere and would call me back. Two weeks later I get a call, so I drove down to look at his cards. He didn't know what they were worth or anything about them so I gave him $20 for the cards I wanted and told him to try the rest on ebay.
