Hey guys - new to the forum here.
The Minas Tirith level cards that came with the Return of the King Aragorn starter deck are giving me headaches.
They are played to your support area during your fellowship phase, have the fortification keyword (pretty useless until another card makes use of the keyword), and: in the maneuver phase, can be transferred to a minion to increase his home site number. Now the intention of these cards is to make the shadow player keep paying roaming penalties despite his minion being on the original home site number, right?
But the problem is, you can transfer these cards to opponent minions
only in the maneuver phase - which is after he has already paid for them in his shadow phase. Does he still have to deduct the roaming penalty despite already being in the maneuver phase?
Example: After I move to site 5, a shadow player plays an Uruk Hai (roaming till site 5). He doesn't have to pay roaming costs anymore. Now I transfer the "
second level" card onto his Uruk Hai in the maneuver phase. Does he now have to extract 2 from the shadow pool?
What if there are no shadow tokens left? And even if he has twilight left and does, this will only mean that he will have less twilight left for shadow events in the coming skirmish (but most shadow events cost 0 anyways), and also if I decide to move again.
Aren't these cards underpowered?
