No being able to Discard abunch of Companions is annoying to the max what if you have Saruman and he assigns minions to companions and Freeps where ok with all of the choices and wastes all of those minions, Waste of 4 points

If I understood correctly what you were trying to say, you think that Free Peoples player doesn't really care who fights who... which in some cases may be true, but it's your job to make him care... just take the example I gave previously...

1 Saruman, SotE - 4 twilight
1 Uruk Searcher - 4 twilight
1 Weary - 1 twilight
1 Broad-bladed Sword - 1 twilight

Dead Legolas - priceless

that's 10 twilight after site 5, where Uruk-hai stop roaming.

I guess 13 str Dmg +1 Minion doesn't scare me  as easily,  as  the opponent I play knows I usually play Tank Decks.
maybe a predictability on my part but I can see what you are saying  Saruman could be a big pain to  Galadrial Lady Redeemed or others with Vitality 3- below or who could not defend them selves, the weary would be annoying though.
Still Discarding Companions is my all time Loathed tactic to have done to me

I see nothing really wrong with this combo and few could take it especially with a Lurtz's Battle Cry for 4 Vitality Aragorn, Elrond, Gandalf, etc. or token removed from Battering Ram. If you're confident that your comp will garner enough strength to beat that minion, well that's what my Saruman's Ambition is sitting there on the table for
As for discarding, the only thing you ever had discarded was Gimli, Counter of Foes fully buffed which fell victim to my Southron Troop--an isolated incident at best. (Although riotously hilarious!)
