I attempted to build a gondy ranger deck a while ago. it can be seen here
http://lotrtcgwiki.com/forums/index.php/topic,4302.0.htmlKet helped me build it, and it worked pretty well. sadly, i couldn't dish out enough wounds to kill the minions and shortly there after, my freeps died. After some shifting I came up with this...
FREEPS
Isildur's bane (i know there are better rings, but I'm trying to earn promos on the gccg so i can't proxy.)
Frodo, tiered traveller
pippin, WoBaS (start)
Sting, bane of the eight legsancient roads x3
athelas x2
banner of westernesse x3
gondorian ranger x2
ranger of ithilien x2
ranger's bow x4
sword of gondor x4
war and valor x4
faramir's cloak (freaking awesome!)
faramir, son of denethor (start)
Mablung, soldier of gondor x2
SHADOW (the idea came from feanor11, a good friend of mine)
advance marauder x4
advance regular x4
advance scout x4
beseiging pike x4
morgul hunter shadow's reach x2 (is there a better condition discard
![Sauron [Sauron]](https://lotrtcgdb.com/forums/Smileys/classic/sauron.png)
card?)
advance captain x4
flames within x4
morgul warden x3 (once i buy more morgul hunters i'm going to phase this guy out. He isn't terrible, but hunter is better.)
bid 1 or 2 if you want to go first, it isn't crucial but you can if you want. The freeps is more of a skirmishing one. the bows and mablung just finish off
stragglers. Choose a standard site array for your adventure deck, your real limited in king block decks but you know which ones to choose. There has been a worry that shorgun enquea will cause problems, but it has been my experience with 2 str 10 comps, a str 9 and 4 wounders, it doesn't matter much. If your really worried about it just don't play 6 comps.
I love the shadow of this deck. Who said roaming was bad? each roaming minion is fierce, dmg+1, and can receive str +3 bonuses from the marauder. It isn't super awesome, but boy is it fun. Then if the freeps gives you initiative, watch out!
