well we need a football thread, and this one is close enough SOOOO
i. hate. football.
why?
1. I've always been an AFC man./..the AFC SUCKS this year.
2. I hate the giants. nuff said.
3. lets go over my 3 favorite teams
1. patriots. brady's injured.
2. Chiefs sucks, and they injured brady so I hate them till next season.
3. The chargers have lost 2 games last second, and might not win their third.

thats enough reasons for me...the good news? the colts aren't doing to hot, and the stealers lost.

right now the team i'm hoping to win the superbowl would have to be the seahawks...as I don't see any of my likes doing it.

My team seems like its stacked, but who knows right?  I already lost one so definitely not perfect.    I may be willing to part with one of my 4 stellar RB's if someone has a kick butt WR to swap.  All 4 of my RB's were 20+ points this week.  Unfortunately only get to play 2.  lol.

Poor Hawkeye is like the Rodney Dangerfield of the league. No respect even though he has a solid team. Just bad, bad luck.

Well, only one of our feelings can be right, unless we end in a tie which would be funny . Tell your wife to sub out Willie Parker. I was going back over my roster and checked the match-up again and it says Willie Parker will not be playing this week. Trying to make it as fair as possible. You were kind enough to let me know when the Baltimore/Houston game was postponed so just returning the favor and keeping the league fair .

If it's going to be fair, then somebody with control needs to sub out some of LeoKula's starters so each team gets their "free" win against him since he's not really playing.

Man, why do you even play yourself? You cam into the thing after you picked up LT talking crap about how you were going to run the table. Since then you have done nothing but cry and and post that this is 'Fing ridiculous' and other unneeded garbage. It's not like we win anything if we finish first so stop the crying and play the game. I will await more posts by you cause I'm sure you have something else to complain about.

First of all, everybody who drafted LT was talkin crap after draft day, in every league, everywhere, so you can't bust on me for that. Second of all, I'm 1 and 5 with a team loaded with stars, which, you have to admit, is a little unbelievable - you'd think that just by the law of averages I'd have at least 2 wins by now if not 3 or more. If you were in my place, you'd have been JUST as frustrated after every single game, believe me. Your comment about not winning anything isn't worth two-bits either, as it's still a matter of pride, and it seriously is a hard hit when you lose game after game after game.

Bottom line: I've got every right to complain, just as you would, so STFU.

Whoa whoa whoa! Easy there, fellas.

Hawkeye DOES have a good team, but like I said, has had some terrible luck. I fully understand the frustration...had a very similiar team last year in a different league: stacked on paper, but seriously underperformed most of the year. It's aggravating to say the least, especially when you lose week after week and just can't understand why or how it keeps happening. "Why me?" and several choice words escaped my lips several times with that team.

That all being said, it IS just a game. I lose perspective on that time and again. But it IS just a game, and one ultimately of luck and very little "skill"...it's not like we can control the players and make them perform up to our standards.

There's still time to make things up. I was in first place all throughout the season in the CC league last year, then lost to the guy that barely eeked into the playoffs and was out in the first round. It happens, and it sucks, but there's nothing that we can really do about it but look forward to the next game, the next chance, or the next year if all goes REALLY poorly. Hang in there and just keep plugging away...you never know what might happen next time you throw those same guys out there.
