Ents - Easterlings

I have taken Cw0rk's advice and changed my ent deck to start with Wobas and Quickbeam and made a few other changes.

The Shadow is built for Easterling Captain to kill everyone.

34-34 seems fine with the Ents cycling. No Skinbark, Fladrif?

I think a copy of Evil-Smelling Fens (maybe over Red Wrath) and Captured By the Ring (over one of the Gollum and the other Red Wrath) might be better calls. I mean, you really only want those first two burdens and then you can let the Captain do his dirty work.

You could also replace a copy of Easterling Lieutenant or two if you felt it necessary...I think you'll have enough twilight with Easterling Skirmisher hooking you up.

Host of Fangorn always winds up beating Skinbark for the last spot.

I think maybe some extra Gollum stuff would be good. We Must Have It might be better than captured by the ring though.. Yeah a Fens would be nice, I will re-think it a little and edit the deck.

I prefer the threat with Captured By the Ring to the potential pump (and random discard of your Easterling Captain?) of We Must Have It.

Just personal opinion. My brother runs both and sometimes We Must Have It turns into an extra burden (Gollum, Stinker). And sometimes it turns into discarding Sam, Son of Hamfast.

I was just thinking...you start three Hobbits and discard with the Ents...why not A Light In His Mind? Brooding On Tomorrow?

Sleep Caradhras is why I don't use those init conditions. With a resistance twelve Frodo being able to remove burdens with Sam and Narya I think is enough.

I changed the shadow to include more Gollum. I'll run it and see how it goes.


Edit: I guess that if there ever were a deck that WMHI is better than CBTR it is would be this one. (Unless maybe TLOTR was added aswell).

Heavy Axeman is nice if you think you can get that many burdens

I actually prefer Easterling Trooper to Heavy Axeman. I thought about adding a couple of Easterling Trooper, still might..

I do too, my deck is more bomb then beatdown though so i try to get them to 3-4 burdens then hit them, so i use 2-3 copies of heavy axeman along with easterling trooper,

also if you're just using easterling guard for burdens why not go with easterling lieutenant instead, he's cheaper with the same vitality

You know, I have always pushed for Easterling Guard but the more I think about it, you already have Easterling Captain who will be helping you win all of your skirmishes by default, so Easterling Lieutenant is probably the better call anyways.

And MD...this is the deck you should foil. It will be tough, but it will be so rewarding when you finish it. Way more rewarding than an tracker deck in which it took me the last 24 hours to get three foil Ugluk and two foil Mauhur (all I need for the deck). After that, it's mostly commons and uncommons.

Although, L3333, I should remove every piece of gold I gave you over Saved From the Fire . After much playtesting and even foiling that deck in real life, it sucked.
