This arcticle is going to cover some of the common strategies employed by the Free People Player (FPP) in LOTR: TCG.
This game presents the cultures of Middle-Earth in numerous ways with a surprise..
The strategies will be divided into different categories according to the culture, each i will present a brand new guide to fully utilising the strengths of that culture while minimising drawbacks.
I will start with the Elven Culture:
Elves are skillful in bows and ranged attacks, they are born to be deadly hunters and can always swiftly slit the throats ,or strike fatal shots with their elegant bows in into hearts of their enemies. In a group they form a unbreakable force capable of launching a volley of arrows to pick off distant enemies or fighting arrogantly with their forged blades. Elves are too deadly in nature . They are equally deadly in LOTR: TCG.
-
Legolas GreenleafThis rare card is often overlooked by many players ,including expert ones. Legolas is the only inborn archer, amazing rite? Whats more is that this legolas can actually aim during the archery phrase. Simply do a cheap extertion then u can shoot an arrow at an enemy of ur choice. Too good. You can even exert him twice to Double the damage on that poor minion, this simply is too overpowered. Weaker minions are put down instantly by the aimed shots, even stronger minions or gigantic beasts won't stand a chance dodging the attack, some of their devastating special abilities are also rendered useless if they require an exertion or two.
-Elven bow
The
elven bow is a must-include item in any good elven archery decks. It gives any elven companion the ability to do ranged attacks. Pack 3 or 4 of these into ur treasure chest then you will jog through 9 sites with no trouble. A groups of these master bowmen will kill off enemies from a far and stop them before they even get a chance in the skirmish phrase. Imagine, In the plain of Pelennor, a Fierce
Mumakil mounted by a dreadful Cheftain wielding a long bow is marching towards the few elven warriors. The warriors haven't any time to ready their battle stances nor set up traps of barricades, and they will be crushed in no time once the beast runs through them. Dun worry if u
hv got ur bows in place. Shoot a volley of arrows during the archery then the
Mumakil will fall in no time.
The above cards are rarely noticed by players due to their unattractive card image, but bear in mind that we do not win the game by playing the most colourful cards.
-Mager ,the notorious expert
