There's a good bit of nostalgia in it for me. The only reason I still lurk is memories. I first read The Hobbit and LOTR trilogy at age 8, and when a friend introduced me to LotR TCG a few years later it was the coolest game I had ever played.

I was around 11 when I found
Cobra Cards ,and it was my first taste of an internet forums community. In retrospect I was extremely lucky that everybody was so nice as I was quite a naive sheltered little guy, and probably would have gotten trolled elsewhere. Cobra Cards had originally been a TCG shop that sold LotR TCG, Magic and several other card games, but it eventually developed a strong community that continued on even after Cobra boarded up shop. He probably would still be open today, but LotR TCG was his best seller, and it took a hard hit when Decipher got robbed and Hunters was delayed. Eventually, the lease on the site domain expired-
http://www.cobracards.com/ and I figured it was gone for good. Several months late, I
discovered TLHH, and although I had mostly stopped playing, I joined up, for old times sake. As of 2011, I haven't played a real game in 3+ years, and although the one friend I used to play SdA with has mentioned digging it up again, for now I am inactive. Anyway, that's the backstory to TLHH (and why this subforum is called the Council of Cobra) and anyone who wants to wander Cobra Cards can do so here:
