As far as I know, there are no leagues running currently. Gemp-Lotr (http://www.gempukku.com/gemp-lotr/) has leagues planned in its development schedule and it should work on any computer as all it needs is a web browser :)

You should try Gemp-LotR then (link in my signature). You can play Movie anytime of the day there (weekends are usually slow).

Gemp-LOTR is great! Movie seems to be the most popular format as of now.  It is worth checking out as it requires no downloads and has an easy learning curve. It's a blast.
