Ok so the order would be corresponding to the Subjects again: Let Us Pay a Game.

"Let Us Play A Game", but yeah.

Okay, we've got one day to decipher these. I doubt they're scrambled this time, since they all seem like normal words, so it's a matter of how they go together. Do they all decribe the same thing, or a group of things, perhaps? Like a riddle? Could that be the "game"? :-k
Best regards,
Dáin

Riddles in the Dark.

Could it be time?

Do we have any everquest player here? I googled a few of the lines and their was something with everquest that used alot of them. Just a shot in the dark here, I will continue to dig and see what happens.

Extremely. That's why I thought it was NappyKorn at first (Sorry Nappy), but wouldn't it be illegal to be a cop and the assassin at the same time, it would be too easy to determine how hard his riddles would be on the cops because he would get all the Pm's.

Not illegal, AD was the assassin last game.

You can send PM's to all the other cops if you suspect a dirty cop  :)

Ahhh the good old, we're useless-at-solving-clues-cops so we'll just randomly protect people.

Used that a fair few times during my days on the force  ;D

As Officers Ulmo and NappyKorn toasted their victory in the station the phone suddenly rang.

Officer Korn picked it up. "Hello?"

Both wrong.

Time is up.

Sudden loud music began blaring out of the telephone reciever.

O Fortuna

velut luna

statu variabilis...

The other Officers arrived at the station as the music continued to play.

semper crescis

aut decrescis

vita detestabilis...

"I know that song!" Officer DainIronfoot shouted suddenly.

nunc obdurat

et tunc curat

ludo mentis aciem...

"What is it?" Officer Ulmo screamed over the blaring music.

"O Fortuna!" Officer Ironfoot replied.

They all looked at each other and then bolted from the station as the music played after them, almost taunting it seemed now...

egestatem,

potestatem

dissolvit ut glaciem!...

----------

The whole force arrived at the home of bibfortuna25 but it was quickly apparent they were too late.

The body of Mr. Fortuna25 was just outside his front door, a large and very visible wound on his chest. There was no doubt of the cause of death.

Also on his chest was a note with the entire English translation of "O Fortuna", the most famous portion of "Carmina Burana":

O Fortune,
like the moon
you are constantly changing,
ever growing
and waning;
hateful life
now oppresses
and then soothes
as fancy takes it;
poverty
and power
it melts them like ice.

Fate - monstrous
and empty,
you whirling wheel,
you are malevolent,
well-being is vain
and always fades to nothing,
shadowed
and veiled
you plague me too;
now through the game
I bring my bare back
to your villainy.

Fate, in health
and virtue,
is against me
driven on
and weighted down,
always enslaved.
So at this hour
without delay
pluck the vibrating strings;
since Fate
strikes down the strong man,
everyone weep with me!

A quick search by the mournful Officers turned up yet another recording, which Officer GarrisonOfGondor played.

Told you I would not be lenient or late.

I'm a man of my word.

Uweeheehaha!

I will give you Officers some time to regroup. Your next clue will come later.

Keep your eyes open.
