what a game
« on: July 01, 2012, 07:52:40 AM »
I just played my first LOTR game in person in over a year. I forgot how entertaining the game is. It was a three way multiplayer game. We played open format focusing on the movie block. My opponents played a hobbit/nazgul and a durin/moria swarm. I played go go gondor rangers/isengard beserkers. Having not played in a while I forgot some of the finer points (always double move in the first region) and came in  second place. Despite my slow start I blew both my opponents' shadow decks out of the water. Mablung, faramir and the gondorian ranger arrow'ed the witch-king and the balrog time and time again. It was a great game.

We also played GW's LOTR minis game. Harad vs Dwarves. The dwarves mopped the floor with my haradrim. My 4 defense just couldn't cope with the dwarves 4 strength.

Mage Knight was also played (i'm still the reigning Mage Knight champ) but I won't bore you with the details.
