Question about followers

Lets say I transfer a follower and I decide to move.  During the next maneuver phase can I A:  Pay the aid and transfer it to a different companion, and/or B:  Pay the aid and get the followers ability to kick in again.  So using Daddy Twofoot, Next-door Neighbor aid to add a burden and transfer to get the event, and then move and add a burden during the maneuver and get another event?
