Wow... right person, wrong reasons.
Here are the PMs I sent to AD:
Triggerhappy Socks is now wondering about Elf_Lvr. The references to being a magician (which might include the top hat) make me wonder if we have a MTG player on our hands (FM and NB are conveniently off the list); the cloak in "indiscriminate shades of gray" could refer to the Elven cloaks; and even archery is involved.
He did come up in that search the other day, but maybe if you're more familiar with his posting style you'd have a better idea. What's giving me pause though is that this version of Incognito seems different than Elf_Lvr's version.
Also and this is a wild idea, but could the constant reference to you being his nemesis, besides the fact that you're a scary cop, refer to your name in particular? Maybe Incognito had an adverse encounter with a dragon. Or a duck.
If Elf_Lvr is a self-professed emo, the half mask could stereotypically refer to covering one side of the face with long hair.
Still can't place the rope, though.
Looks like the references were sailing right over my head, and I was having doubts when I couldn't tie you to the Phantom. On the other hand you were the second highest suspect on my list after the search. Guess there was much ado about "nothign."
I'd be interested in AD's thoughts, too. Congrats!
