Considering he costs [4], I think he's actually a little weak. Strength +2 and resistance +1 would be good bonuses for him to offer, methinks.

So he's back the way he was! Let's have a similar huge follower then (obviously the theory with these followers being you can run a fellowship themed deck without going to 9 companions):

[4]Gandalf, The Grey Pilgrim (V) [Gandalf]
Follower
Str: +1
Res: +1
Fellowship. Aid - [1].
Maneuver: Exert bearer and spot 3 fellowship companions to replace the current site with a site from your adventure deck.
"'When evening in the Shire was grey / his footsteps on the Hill were heard; / before the dawn he went away / on journey long without a word.'"
2 V 122

And now one you may not necessarily have been expecting:

(0)Frodo, Son of Drogo (V) [Shire]
Follower
Res: +1
Fellowship. Aid - [2].
Bearer is Ring-bound.
Each time Frodo is transferred to a Hobbit or fellowship companion, you may heal that companion.
"'I think you'll find there's more to this Hobbit than meets the eye.'"

Dude have you caught crazy dwarven beard disease? Look at celebring he costs 3 and does crap loads less. This guy costs 4 ONCE. Then hes gonna heal like 2 people a turn on a good fighter plus stat bonuses? ARGH! Too good i say!

Ok. 4 cost is a lot though but i appreciate you cant change him.

Not bad, not bad. Not quite what I would imagine for a Gandalf follower, but certainly makes sense and balanced enough.

I find it highly unlikely a fellowship fellowship would run without a fellowship Frodo as the RB, but fair enough. Lem0n's probably right...with such easy healing, it should probably be resistance +1, especially since it can be borne by another RB. Maybe make bearer Ring-bound for added fun?

I've changed the Frodo so that he would work in a Hobbit strategy that isn't necessarily tied to fellowship.

Question: do you intend for companions bearing these fellowship followers to gain keywords on those followers? Like, would a companion bearing the new and improved Frodo follower become a fellowship and Ring-bound companion while bearing Frodo? Just curious....

My only other comment would be to switch around the wording a bit so that it reads "Each time Frodo is transferred to a Hobbit or fellowship companion...." Just reads smoother that way.
Best regards,
Dáin

I wasn't intending this no. It is quite an interesting idea, however. [Thinking smiley which we're still missing!]

In that case I'd again recommend that Frodo actually make bearer Ring-bound. 'Twould be major fun. ;D

does he really need to be ringbound? can followers even be ringbound? I am pretty sure only characters can be...or more specifically companions

So let's finish our fellowship followers with some Hobbits. First we have a Merry and Pippin obviously designed to work together, but don't have to be.

[1]Merry, From O'er the Brandywine (V) [Shire]
Follower
Str: +1
Fellowship. Aid - [2].
Skirmish: If bearer is a fellowship companion, add a threat to make him strength +2.
"'I don't know why he's so upset, it's only a few carrots…'"
1 V 303

[1]Pippin, Mr. Took (V) [Shire]
Follower
Res: +1
Fellowship. Aid - [1].
Skirmish: If bearer is a fellowship companion, exert him to remove a threat.
"Pippin was evidently much enjoying the attention he was getting, and had become quite forgetful of their danger."
2 V 110

And here's an odd way to deal with a vitality bonus on a follower with our last member of the Company:

[2]Sam, Son of Hamfast (V) [Shire]
Follower
Vit: +1
Fellowship. Aid - discard a [Shire] card from hand.
Response: If a burden is about to be added by a Shadow card, exert bearer to prevent that.
Regroup: If bearer is a fellowship companion, heal him to transfer Sam to your support area.
"'Oh, I've never held a girl's hand before. I… I think I might just have myself another ale.'"

way too good....heal that companion once, and up base cost to 3.

I still can't change the twilight cost, but I have reduced Sam's ability.

Because I can't cover anything above the type/sub-type bar.

I probably shouldn't include this image, but it's just to show you what I mean. If you print out something like this attachment, you can't cover anything above the aforementioned bar because that would conflict with the picture and title.
