Truthality - The Game!
« on: June 01, 2008, 12:05:33 AM »
In this game, you ask the poster below you a question - silly or serious - after answering the question above (filling in as much detail as required to properly answer). The only rule is that you must reply truthfully. That's the cost to play!

And I'll know if you're lying.  :cop:

Starting question: Have you ever gone joyriding?

Depends on your definition. Joyriding as in a stolen car or something like that, no. As in taking a car up to 120 on the interstate...well...:D

Have you ever eaten a 72 oz steak?

Do sibling's count? How about my little brother, every single time. ;)

Most notable incident involved one little sister picking another little sister's nose. I'll leave it at that.

Have you ever shot something accidentally with a ricocheting bullet?

Ew!   :-X  Yep, that definitely counts!  lol

I myself have never accidentally shot anything (shot a lot of things on purpose, though - no humans, I'm not THAT bad a person, lol).  My husband, however, got accidentally shot in the thumb by one of his friends.  His friend worked for an estate, and they were out hunting one day.  While climbing over a fence, his friend's gun went off.  The bullet hit my husband in the hand, glad it didn't hit anything vital!  He got very lucky.  Because of the angle, it didn't do any serious damage, but he still has the scars.  The bullet didn't ricochet off of anything first, though.

Have you ever posted on a forum under the guise of a different username from your own?

well, not really, not with huge explosives. I have had some illegal fireworks, at least in the Netherlands it is, which causes a rather big blow and with that I blew up things. But nothing too dramatic.

Have you lied in the past week?

Yes, mostly when I was a kid. I can think of two people off-hand...and they both deserved it. Broke one poor kid's nose, though.

That was a LONG time ago, though. I'd like to think I've mellowed out since then.

Have you ever actually shot milk (or some other drink) out your nose?

To be honest, I don't particularly like them that much... not compared to other ice cream products... like a gallon of mint....
I might pay $2.50, though.

Have you ever crossed dressed on a friday night, went to some dive bar and woke up next morning next to a person of the same sex youve never seen before.

Nah im a straight arrow sadly. Been pulled over a couple of times by coppers for racing them or driving too fast.

As i was writing the above post i was partly thinking about what would happen if you replied SM. As youre the only female on TLHH it would be odd thinking off you dressing in a shirt and tie and pulling a female! :S Actually now i think about it....  :hey:

Have you ever knicked someones girlfriend? (and dont you answer SM!)

well, in a dark past -I have matured some by now- my brother and I went on vacation with my parents. We both saw a nice girl, but somehow the rule applied that since my brother is the oldest -4 years older- he would get the first shot. He was succesful, but I couldn't take my eyes of her. Just became 15 years of age, started to grow interest in the other gender and well, whether it was my irresistable smile, my good looks or her being some kinda nymphomane (either way I didn't care) she got the hots for me at the end of that vacation :D. I'll spare you kids the details......(it was decend, don't you all worry)

Have you ever cheated? In any way?

Yeah. I cheated on videogames a lot when I was younger... :P
I've also cheated on tests occasionally (we have a teacher that's been running the same test for over 10 years, so EVERYONE has the answers beforehand...), and yes, I cheated on a "girlfriend" of sorts a great while ago. She wasn't ACTUALLY my girlfriend, but we WERE heading in that direction, since we weren't seeing anyone else, but I completly fell for this other girl I met during b-ball practice, and SHE wen't on to be my girlfriend in, like, 2 weeks after that!
Boy, was the other girl pissed or what?

Ok, have you ever "walked in" on a relative or friend when they were doing... well... something?

I certainly did back during the years I made all kinds of DCs for a game I hadn't even PLAYED yet. :P Makes a LITTLE more sense now that I actually have, but still, sometimes, I find myself wondering ever so briefly why I invest so much time in it. Then I remember it's fun and tell that part of my brain to loosen up.

Um...no?

Lurtzy's responses remind me of Larry the Cucumber during the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything song. While the others talk about real "piraty things" like hoisting the mainstay and owning parrots, Larry talks about plucking roosters, kissing chipmunks, and painting daisies on a big red rubber ball. As Pa Grape puts it, he just doesn't "get it". :P

Oh, and if you no idea what Larry the Cucumber, VeggieTales, and/or The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything are, you haven't lived. Go look it up. You will NOT be disappointed.

Hmmm, on that subject: HYE seen an episode of VeggieTales, and if so, did you like it?

HYE gotten a scar?

Yes, actually. I think I told this story over at CC, but....

It was my final year of my bachelor's degree, like one week until graduation. I had an evening class that ran until like 10:00. By the time I was leaving school, there was practically no one around. I walk out to my car, and suddenly this guy just appears out of nowhere and asks if I have the time. Kind fellow that I am, I look down to check my watch, and hear the unmistakable click-clack of a pistol being racked back. (Why he did that, and why they do it all the time in movies, makes no sense; if you know how guns work, there is NO reason to do that most of the time except it seems more imposing, I guess...anyway....) Sure enough, I look up and he's going through the classic "give me your wallet" routine and acting all big and bad. UNlike the movies, this is NOT the time to go Chuck Norris on him and try to get the gun away or something stupid like that, so I do what one SHOULD do in this position: cooperate and get as much detail on him as I can. He takes the few bucks I have in my wallet (hey, I'm a starving college student, after all!), interestingly leaves my credit card, and hoists up my laptop as his grand prize instead. I DID rationally try to explain to him to leave the laptop, explaining all the school info I had on it, and he briefly put it back down before getting into his tough guy mode again and saying that HE was "making the rules here", not me. *sigh* So he walks me over to the treeline and takes off into the night.

Naturally, I called...my father, who at the time was the head of the Criminal Investigation Division of the county police department. (Just retired from the force two years ago after 25+ years of service...by this point, he was pretty high up in the chain.) Within minutes, no less than four police cars are on the scene and I'm being questioned. I gave them the best description I could of the guy, and also the gun, which I recognized as being the same sidearm carried by most police officers (including the ones in this county) and most military forces, the Beretta M9. Turns out that was one of the keys to case, because an M9 had been reported stolen nearby from a retired police officer's home (he came to the scene as well). Once they put two and two together, they were on him quick. Within two hours, they were at this punk's home, who has the gall to try and jump out the window to escape...with my laptop in hand. Hey, moron...try NOT CARRYING THE EVIDENCE WITH YOU, huh?

So they bring me to the police station, show me a bunch of mug shots (one of which is the guy and the others are stock photos they keep on file to make sure you make a positive ID), and I pick him out easy. That was the end of my night, and I went home while he rotted away that evening in one of their holding cells.

The sad part is that, while he could have gotten up to 10 years, he instead got only two and probably got out WAY early for "good behavior". Ahhhh, justice. You want to know how bad and frustrating the court system is today, just ask a cop. Very depressing to do their job and have the courts let these leaches of society out so much faster than their sentence should require they rot away.

Whew. Okay, next question....

HYE fired a gun?
Best regards,
Dáin

Yes, I surely have.  I was in the US Air Force back in my younger days (oh here she goes again, lol), and I shot an M16 while going through basic training.  While I was at my permanent duty station, we often went for TDYs (Temporary Duty), where we would have more training.  Those were great fun, camping and playing war games!

no, but my pupils have :D. Remember the Cold War RPG I was organizing with all your help? It ran out of control!!! They were into the game, being suspicous about eachother and trying to get their opponents file ASAP. I was looking for a hostile atmosphere, in the way that they shouldn't trust eachother, so I alowed cheating as long as I didn't see it. Well, they did. Breaking in eachothers lockers, hacking email, all was alowed in love and war. Miss charming went to the caretaker, showing her most pretty face, and with big, blue, a bit sad eyes she tells him she has forgotten her key. With the one that opens all she takes off, breaking in to her friend's locker, who was ofcourse her enemy during the game....I was happy that they have experienced the atmosphere, but I didn't want a remake of the Wave on my account, so I blew it off. What fun it was.......

A: TBD.

well, I have some dark days in the past as well. Back in school I was a bit annoying for some, great for others. I have a strong feeling for justice, but it is self declared. I was always involved in riots and such, but because of a great deal of 'friends' I was always very layed back and always could tell others to get lost.
1 day a group came to my school, cause they were looking for me. After they found me we were foul talking, but my support was way larger then his, so we all laughed at him, which only made him more upset. The day after I decided to be stupid, by going to this guy's school with nothing more than a friend of mine. Arrogant as we were, we paraded through the school, having a 'good excuse' to be there and it was fun back then. The whole school was looking at us and gossip went like a fire through the school. When we came out, he and his friends were waiting for me. Whether they were intimidated by my looks, my size or my brutality, he didn't do anything, just threathening to pull a knife, screaming and shouting at me, to f*** off, and such. I challenged him to do something, being the perfect rooster, but he backed out....after that he payed me a lot of respect....we were soooo lame back then, but it makes funny memories....

HYE thougth that everything you believe in could be a giant hoax?

No, but I almost did at work a few weeks ago. I turned to face a coworker and suddenly burped as I opened my mouth to say something to him. Some, uh... vomit... came up. I managed to shut my mouth really quick and went to the trash can nearby and cleaned myself out.

All the while he stared at me confused. I came back over to him and pointed to the trash can behind me. "I just threw up. Almost all over you." He laughed, I laughed, and then I found five dollars.

yes, some red wine. i've never liked the smell of alcohol, and it tastes nasty and burns going down the throat.

HYE had fun by asking a drunk person a circle of questions. for instance, my and my sisters had our aunt's boyfriend going for the longest time with these questions:

how fast were you driving?
how old were you when it happened?
Did you have Dingles kitty?

its really great fun, you should try it sometime.

HYE stubbed both your toes in the same hour?
Time
What know we of this despondent thing
No sign no sound no tranquil ring
We try to tell its quantity
yet fail to see the point
Only one can know of it
to this eternal joint
We have not power in Use
To hold this creature bay
But only wait for it to change
Inside the soul of it we lay

Caffeine destroys Society.
Society destroys Freedom.
Freedom is the right of all sentient beings (and therefore should not be destroyed.)
Caffeine, therefore, destroys the enemy of freedom.

Caffeine, therefore, is a sacred weapon for the protection of all sentient beings. -- Agent Drake
