So with Last Days in play you can use Courageous Easterling's text to discard himself, triggering Last Days (cheaper minion from hand) and also play a minion from discard pile (not cheaper).

You can play two minions: one from hand and one from your discard pile. The minion from your hand is cost -2 and strength +2; the minion from your discard pile is not. It's like this:
Pay Costs: Discard Courageous Easterling.
     Optional Response: Use Last Days to play a minion from hand for cost -2; it is fierce and strength +2.
Perform Effects: Play a minion from your discard pile; it is fierce.
