Say you have Last Days out, and you discard Courageous Easterling in a skirmish. Is the new minion that gets played now fierce, twilight cost -2, and strength +2?

Last Days has text that let's you play minions from hand, Courageous Easterling has text that let's you play minons from your discard pile.

So with Last Days in play you can use Courageous Easterling's text to discard himself, triggering Last Days (cheaper minion from hand) and also play a minion from discard pile (not cheaper).

IMO: You'll need to choose if you either play one from your hand with last days (+bonus) or from your discard (without the bonus from last days). You can't do both.

Last Days says each time. So it automatically happens when Courageous Easterling uses his text.

Yeah, Last Days will respond every time a minion is discarded. It doesn't matter how they are discarded, because each time means each time.

I think MaudDib has it right with being able to use the text of both Last Days and Courageous Easterling.

CE discards himself as the cost of his skirmish action. Last Days triggers from this action, and you may play a minion with it. When responses are over, proceed to CE's effect, playing a minion from your discard pile.

But it will not get the -2 cost and +2 bonus if you play the minion from your discard pile.

Ah, then I misread the "You can't do both."  Right, the Last Days benefits applies only to the minion played with Last Days.
