This is the latest version of Merry's Sword/Enduring Nazgul that I'm running. So far has a record of 2-0. (The first time it was played I forgot to add simbelmyne and lost..but that doesn't count)

Basically use Merry's sword to exert everything and use Rohirrim Bow to kill the scary bad guys. Third Marshall of The Riddermark to finish off. Leowyn, Daughter of Eomund, Rekindled King and Farmer Maggot keep everyone healthy.

Shadow is built for huge Witch-King and huge Enquea to kill everyone, or scare them from doubling and keeping up wih your fellowship. Bid [1] and go first.

I know she's not valiant so you would need to change the deck a little bit but I really like to use Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien in that type of deck. She is pretty effective at finishing minions off.
Also, adding a way to bring back your bows would help (Sworthain is probably the best way... I know, that would also change your deck). You may also consider Armory (or maybe adding some javelins).

I think that Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien is the money choice for this deck as well. Your deck could stand to be four or so cards bigger, considering you can always dump half of a hand with Merry or cycle with Fell Beast. Maybe A Light In His Mind and the Rohirrim liberation-when-you-lose-initiative card are worth looking into?

Why are you using that Wikkie? I would think that you would intimidate more people with Witch-King, Morgul King or Witch-King, Lord of Angmar, even if those guys aren't enduring. If you add cards on the Shadow side, you can't go wrong with Morgul Gates.

I am working on a version of this with Lady of Ithilien to test. A Light In His Mind would be great, maybe even instead of Sam, Son of Hamfast to make room for an extra Rohan Companion. I also like the idea of Armory. I did have Snowmane in for site liberation but was removed to cut numbers. Thanks for the suggestions. :gp: each.

Basically use Merry's sword to exert everything...

I have a question here - the wording on Merry's Sword ("... exert a minion once for each Rohan companion you can spot") has me a little confused as I am not quite an expert on card wordings. Is it saying that you exert a single minion up to as many Rohan companions as you can spot, or that you can exert separate minions (once each) up to as many Rohan companions as you can spot? Upon my first reading I was thinking the former but now I am leaning towards the latter. :)

My intentions are not to turn this into a rules debate, just wanted to ask.

You can place one exertion on one minion for each Rohan companion you spot. It all happens one at a time.

In your games played with this deck, how fared your shadow side? That's a lot of expensive minions, not to mention you have to leave some room for  BNAP. Morgul Gates would probably be your choice. In my enduring nazzie decks, I found Ulaire Nertea, Thrall of the One, quite redundant. Not strong and no special effects. Perhaps add more copies of other Nazzies instead or TGAT.

You may also consider Isengard Warrior...I know that archery is a great opportunity for you to put the woundies on your Nazgul, but you don't want any exhausted Nazgul getting knocked off in the archery phase. That also allows you to throw in Saruman's Power.

The more I look at it, there is some potential for a News of Mordor sighting here or there...but the goal will be to have enough twilight come assignment phase anyways with those big minions. That makes me think that a News of Mordor [Wraith] Orc and [Isengard] Orc deck could be a pretty cool idea.

There are no reasons for you to run 3 copies of Merry's Sword when you have Simbelmyne and could use Armory or Weapon Store to grab them if they are discarded. I also prefer Merry, Horticultularist in such a deck but I can understand why you prefer the other version.

For your shadow, with 4 Enquea's, you could try to fit in one or two The Ring Draws Them.

I won both games with the Fellowship, unless facing direct wounding it is hard for anyone to double past a TOTO with Fell beast or Black Captain with his ring, beast and sword or flail.

Ulaire Nertea, TOTO has won me the game at site two on more than one occasion in previous enduring nazgul decks I've had. SFTF Fellowships dish out alot of twilight straight up and Nertea allows you to smash them at site two with a bunch of non-roaming Nazgul.

I heard that the latest news of mordor was that Holland reached the FINAL of the WORLDCUP!!
I would compare the referees to a bunch of drunk mordor orcs.. XD
