Magic: The Gathering Online Play
« on: October 21, 2008, 09:27:44 AM »
Hey guys, and welcome to the Blind Eternities. Here's where you submit results as to MtG matchups and let us know how things are going with your decks.

There are a few ways you can go about playing online. You can use the official online magic program, in which you buy cards and play with decks you purchased. Or, the way I prefer, is to use MWS.

MWS is a free software that allows you to play online MtG. Unlike SdA, it uses an online website for hosting, thus eliminating all hosting problems.

Getting MWS is a simple process.

1. Download and run the MWS Software.
2. Download and run the MWS gamepack.
3. As the current gamepack only covers up to Eventide, Alara can be installed via a .txt patch. Once you download the patch, you can go into MWS and select analyze/add/remove sets from the Tools menu, then select add set, click get data from txt spoiler and use that to add Alara to the master base. Then, remember to save the master base. You'll have to restart MWS in order to get it to work.

Hope this helps!
