Help needed with Morcs
« on: August 01, 2018, 10:09:57 AM »
I'm trying to build a Morcs-Nazgul deck with cards I have physically. My main problem is that I don't have any copies of Streaming to the Field, which is essential to initiative-based Morcs deck. So I would like your help to make this deck work!

35 cards

2x Gothmog, Morgul Commander
1x Gorbag, LoCU
3x Morgul Ambusher
4x Morgul Whelp
1x Morgul Squealer
4x Morgul Destroyer

1x Ulaire Attea, Wraith on Wings
2x Ulaire Attea, Thrall of the One
1x Ulaire Enquea, Thrall of the One
1x Ulaire Enquea, Faster than Winds
2x Ulaire Nertea, Thrall of the One
1x Ulaire Toldea, Wraith on Wings
1x Ulaire Nelya, Assailing Minion
1x The Witch-King, Black Captain

1x Stronghold of Minas Morgul
1x Called
1x Swarming Like Beetles
1x Dark Swooping Shadows
2x More Unbearable
2x Ten Times Outnumbered
2x Black Marshal

I made sure to add enough threats and wound the Ring-Bearer while waiting for More Unbearable to become active. I have Feel his Blade, but it seems pretty useless since I need initiative for the Archery phase.

Thanks a lot!

EDIT:
Here are the cards I have left out, mainly the rare ones (I have a bunch of common and uncommon, but this gives you and idea):

4x Morgul Lurker
3x Morgul Creeper
2x Gorbag, Covetous Captain
1x Ulaire Enquea, FTW
2x Ulaire Nelya, AM
1x Ulaire Toldea, WoW
1x Ulaire Attea, Thrall of the One
2x Ulaire Toldea, Thrall of the One
2x Ulaire Otsea, Thrall of the One

Morgul on the March

Well, certainly Morgul Brute would help. Are you trying to keep this RotK block eligible, or would you introduce cards from other blocks (like Witch-King, Lord of the Nazgul and Fell Beast)?

Thanks for your advices. I don't have Morgul Brute, but I sure do have a few copies of Lord of the Nazgul and Fell Beast. I am more of a casual player, so I don't need my deck to be RotK eligible. I was more interested in making a treaths and initiative based orc-Nazgul deck, so cards from other blocks wouldn't be a problem for me.

If you're not worried about sticking to king block and don't have streaming to the field, could certainly look at adding some raider cards (nice and thematic too) - depends if you want it to remain pure?

Something like:

Desert Sneak x4
Morgul Lurker x4
Morgul Destroyer x3
Morgul Ambusher x3
Desert Runner x3
Gothmog, MC x2
Ulaire Toldea, WoW x2
Ulaire Otsea, ToTo x2
Morgul Whelp x2

Black Sails of Umbar x4
Corsair War Galley x4

More Unbearable x2

More focused on the initiative abuse than the threats - the ships can be dropped as soon as you draw them to get tokens for cheap then when you're ready to bomb you drop one of the cheap southrons to gain initiative (and an extra bonus wound) and pincushion the fellowship.

It can actually swarm half decently too against a smaller fellowship.
