Just to calm down the user's from the election-tension, (Hehe, over here we don't have such complicated elections) I wanted to ask who of you (if any) do some art (drawings, music, paintings, acting, etc..) and if you could talk about it and post it if not a problem.

I myself like to draw, draw scenes from a story I'm making right now, therefore, I write, too (duh), practice the flute (from a rather weird teacher, honestly), and starting to make abstract paintings (cause catching emotions and movement and sticking them to the canvas is easier with the freedom abtract strokes give)

So, any of you like art? or do some?

ooo, yay. gold for you sir.

i have a TON of respect for people who can draw. its amazing. i however, have never been able to do it. my sister does a lot of photography, which can be stunning, great potential for emotional impact. music, i wish i could play music like my friends. i pretty much can only play the djembe a little and the kazoo, if that counts. but some of my friends and i have talked about recording a CD of some songs. i write song lyrics, and my friends can write music, but we haven't done it together yet.

my real passion is for cinematography. i want to be a director. right now i'm just doing school and fiddling around with some film projects on the side. i am however doing one documentary for school that is about infant foster care. when its done it will hopefully be entered into the San Antonio film festival. so, we'll see.

I like art - but it should be beautiful!

I like drawing, and building sculptures. But I also do web design, or create other games...but often, I destroy them, because I am unhappy with my work.

I've played the piano for 7+ years now, I'm working on the conceptual phase of a book I want to write someday and I'm doing a drama class in the local homeschool co-op. I like drama class, we're doing a Macbeth production next spring which looks fun, my book is still in plot development (check back in 10 years) and piano is only getting harder.  ;)

Anybody else here play piano?

I can just play very very simple songs! I learn them by heart, and then I do just practising.

I like drama too, it makes a lot of fun to act!

I sing in a chorus and play at a rock/brazilian music band. Well...we are pretty "out of tune" at moment since the members are involved with other stuff, like college, jobs, children, etc, but is a good entertain time with nice people.

whoah this is great! Right now, I'm editing pìctures (normally people in Europe) into an Impresionistic style. Unfortunately, If you wanna read my novel, I have to translate it to English first  but you can see some of the things I'm doing with my graphic tablet:

First, what I have just finished: a girl in Venice (this girl is from my ex-school, hope she doesn't notice )

Then, a character from my novel (got fascinated with epic fantasy since I read LOTR)

This one's not finished yet (also, I hate it, looks too much like Boromir, gotta fix it)

I have more, will put them up only if you ask for more (and if I finish them )

When it comes to painting and drawing, I have no artistic talent whatsoever. This is why I took Art Appreciation (a.k.a. Art History) for the required art creds at my school.

I'm not sure how talented I am at music. I have a guitar, but haven't bothered to get lessons on how to play yet. Besides, the person I'd like to learn from is kind of on tour right now, so... People also say I'm a fair singer. In respect to certain kinds of songs, at least.

Mostly, I think I enjoy writing the most. I haven't really begun seriously writing yet, and I don't plan to make a major career of it - but I would like to write some books and maybe get a few published. I've got a few interesting ideas, if anyone wants to hear them (and mostly critique them, I'm sure I have plenty of flaws). One idea I got from you guys here at TLHH...  ;D

I like to draw. And I write. And sometimes I draw about what I write. I should get scans of the covers I drew for my sci-fi.

And I like rohan:

I should see if I can find any of my old Norse Myth drawings... those look better than any of my other stuff.

And I play piano. Sort of. I'm terrible at reading music, but I can make up my own stuff, and it works pretty well. and I can learn to play stuff by listening to it on a CD, sometimes.

el: I wanna know what idea you got from us.
Forget it. I'm not arguing with the computer anymore to try to get the sig I want....

I got bored and drew a really nice picture of a military base in the middle of a desert. Yup, cactus, telephone poles, aircraft, all that stuff.

Then someone asked if they could have the picture, so I can't scan it in.

But I mostly draw landscapes, buildings and aircraft. I can't, for the life of me, draw people or animals.

I play piano, like mr. lurtzy, very well if I do say so myself. 8+ years of lessons, amounting to more than a month of my life sitting at a bench tinkling away. I've gotten to the point where I can play run/awesome stuff. canon in D, LOTR, rondo alla turca, POTC, etc.
purty awesome.

I'm a fairly good drawer, but only if I have a picture to go from, and its not a canine/ equine/ or homo sapien. ;)
I'm best at rodents.
BtO is pretty good at drawing most things, but again goes from pictures.

I just finished Fur Elise by Beethove and Elfin Dance by Grieg.
Oh, by the way, down at the St. Mary's College in St. Mary's County Maryland
pianist Brian Ganz has a concert about once a month. The guy is amazing.
Last time I went to a concert he played a piece by Dmitri Shostakovich
with three movements... from memory, for almost an hour.
