In this thread I'm going to post seven new alternate ring-bearers. One
one one one one one and one .
I'm going to reserve the next six posts so that you can see them all.

First up:

•Eowyn, Bearer of Courage
Companion • Man
Strength: 6
Vitality: 3
Ringed Resistance: 5
While Eowyn is the Ring-bearer, at the start of each skirmish
involving her exert each minion that she is skirmishing once
then add a burden and a threat or discard a free people's possession.
Eowyn is Resistance +1 for each mounted man you can spot.

Well... I think the resistance bonus is a bit too powerful.

Check that. WAY too powerful. I'd cut it to just +1 for each mounted companion.

    I think her text it´s to damned powerful for an alternative RB. My sugestion is that you cut the second sentece "or discard a possession" and keep the burden + threat.

   First of all you can use her text to discard a shadow possession! So it´s like: "fight with Eowyn and discard one corsair ship or that shine uruk blade, etc. Even if you change it to free people possession i think would still too powerful cause Rohan have ton of ways of get them back from discard. You can do some nasty combo with Eowyn Sword, DB. If you stick just with burden + threat, or maybe remove one rohan possession from play (then you can´t get it back) she will be more balanced.

the once is redundant. fine I guess.

I completely disagree with the concept of a Ring-bearer from both a flavour and gameplay perspective, but leaving that aside... She could be a lot easier to read and understand. I would make her drawback: "While Eowyn is the Ring-bearer, at the start of each skirmish involving her you must add a burden and a threat." or "... discard a Free Peoples possession or add 2 burdens." I would then make her resistance 6 (which is effectively 8 thanks to the RoR), remove her resistance bonus and have another ability "At the start of each skirmish involving Eowyn, each minion skirmishing her must exert."
