Browser Compatibility for Gemp on Mobile Devices
« on: January 26, 2020, 08:07:20 AM »
This may be a long overdue topic, I'm surprised it wasn't already here.

Gemp's operation is pretty complex, and it is a lot of fun to use on mobile devices... when it works! But getting it to work is a bit like trying to hit a moving target while sitting in a rolling office chair in the back of a moving pickup truck. Operating systems evolve, devices change, browsers and apps evolve, and the coding for gemp itself evolves. Every so often, as updates take effect, I find myself looking around to try to find a functional browser that I can use to play on my mobile device. Hopefully this thread will become a quick go-to place to get that information.

My current device is an iphone SE. It worked just fine using Firefox, until I recently had to upgrade it to iOS 13.3. I now find that I am unable to assign minions. So far I've tried an updated Firefox, and also Chrome and Safari. Same results, can't assign. I'm about to update Chrome and Safari and see if that helps. Anybody have any suggestions?
