Unique Shadow Conditions
« on: May 16, 2022, 11:50:35 AM »
Let's say:
Brad, and Lyndsay, and I are playing a three-player game.
1. On Brad's free people's turn, I play The Long Dark.
2. On my free people's turn, Lyndsay plays The Long Dark.
3. Then, back on Brad's free people's turn, we have two of one unique shadow condition out.

Is there some rule to handle this situation, or does it not matter?

IDK. I think that uniqueness blocks anyone from playing that card when the other is active, but I don't see why you can't play another copy of an inactive card.

Occasionally in a multiplayer game, two copies of the same unique Shadow condition may be in play at the same time. Only the first copy of a unique Shadow condition (or the first 4 copies of a non-unique Shadow condition) closest to the right of the Free Peoples player are in effect at any time. All other copies are also active, but their game text is ignored.

Thus only one would be active at a time.
