i'm hoping we get to do weight of a legacy  ;)
You can feel free to do Weight of a Legacy - I won't stop you. You might not get any votes...

We'll be starting by tomorrow evening (GMT) when I will post the first round, so anyone who still wants to join aught to let me know ASAP.

Alright, so now it's time to begin the first round! =D> \:D/

So, for this round I want you guys to design 1 of the following cards:

So either Men of Harad or Men of Rhûn is fine. Just to restate the rules, you card should:

1) Have the same title (with a (V) attached to the end)
2) Have the same twilight cost and culture - the card you make this round should be either an event or a condition. If you really want to make it into another type (like minion or follower) then fair enough - it's all cool!
3) Have whatever attributes or attribute modifiers you think appropriate
4) Have a different text, maybe similar, but could also be on completely different lines - in fact, you should try to make it as original as possible because this might be more popular than just redoing the stated ability. Making a card that works with the [Men] culture is fine as well - it's not a requirement, nor is it forbidden.
5) Have a lore which you want, it's really up to you - you can keep the same lore or put in your own, it doesn't really matter.

Cards will be posted each round anonymously, so the card which you send me should follow this format to avoid possible identification (obviously omit bits that you don't need):

[X] Title (V) [Culture]
Type • Sub-type
Str: +A
Vit: +B
Res/Sit: +C
Text
Lore
4 V XXX

Your entries should be PMed to me before Wednesday 26th, so you've got just under a week.

I also follow a rather different policy for my contests than most. The card which you send me I will look over and then, if I can think of anything, I will send it back to you with any comments I might have. You are then free to re-send it to me with any changes at any later date before the deadline. You can do this as many times as you'd like. The reason for this is that I don't want any cards losing out on votes because they're over- or underpowered, badly formatted, riddled with bad grammar and/or spelling errors, or if their text doesn't do exactly what it's supposed to do.

So there we go. Another contest. Happy DCing, and good luck!

This is also an open contest, by the way, so as long as you send me your card by the deadline, you will have entered the contest and I will post your card with the others.

Come on guys! I have 5 entries (one of them mine) and 13 people signed up. The deadline is THIS WEDNESDAY! The earlier you get them in, the more I have a chance to think about them and give you good comments. If there isn't time for me to send you feedback before I post them, then I simply won't!

but some times, of course, you can be the first person to send an entry and get really bad comments.  ;)

no, thran's advice is always helpful, as long as he is paying attention to whether or not it's a condition or an event.

i like it this way, because i forgot a little phrase that would have made my ability useless!!!

thanks thran for the cool contest  8-)

Well, Wednesday is now over and Thursday has begun. This can mean only one thing: it's time to post the cards!

Out of 13 people signed up for this contest, I got 10 entries. It's not bad, but we can certainly do better. That said, this is an open contest - anyone is welcome to drop in and out as they see fit. It is also a cumulative contest, so the more rounds you enter the higher your total will be at the end when determining the winner (remembering that there will be prizes floating around! :uh-huh:).

As always with these contests, please vote for your favourite 3 in order and try to vote for concepts over balance - 1 or even 2 people cannot be a design and development team at the same time so try to allow some leeway in that respect.

The deadline for voting will be in about a week's time, so Wednesday 3rd December. Remember that ALL participants are required to vote and they can't vote for themselves, even though the cards are anonymous (I'll know! :ninja:). Other voters are of course welcome and encouraged.

Now enough ramblings: let's have the cards! =D>
