RoS miscuts
« on: November 13, 2008, 03:43:13 PM »
Does anyone know anything about RoS cards having white borders due to being miscut?

WHat exactly do you mean? Like MtG 9th Edition white borders? Because that's doable.

No, again, you're not getting my point. ALL borders are white? they're FULLY white? Did you open such cards, or you found them online? This kind of stuff is what I'm asking, because with MtG, you can make black-bordered cards into white-bordered ones, so I believe the same could be done with LotR.

I've seen miscut cards before, but the extra border (and there was a LOT of it) was always black, so I assumed that the sheets were printed with the cardface set on a black background, not just black borders around the cards.

In which case, I would say that the white borders is probably a lie.
On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if, at some point, Decipher switched to black borders on white backgrounds to reduce printing costs... Didn't D switch printers at some point? That could have something to do with it. The miscuts I remember seeing were all in the movie blocks.
Forget it. I'm not arguing with the computer anymore to try to get the sig I want....
