Newbie question about FOTR-Block Cards

I became interested in the LOTF TCG a short while ago and want to start collecting and playing the FOTR block. If I understand it correctly, the first three sets make up the "Fellowship" block, right?

Are there complete foil sets for all of these expansions? So far I have only been able to find offers for the ‚Mines of Moria' and ‚Realm of the Elf-Lords' expansions. Is the first set also available completely foiled? If so, would it be difficult to get it?

Finding sealed product of the first set is quite hard. However, I found offers for Fellowship Draft Packs. Are these any good? Are there foils in them? What would be a good price for them?

What kinds of starters are there in this block? Am I correct in thinking that there were two different starters for each of the three sets, but only one deluxe starter for the entire block? Does the deluxe starter have both premiums or are there multiple versions of deluxe starters out there, as well?

Which promotional and tournament prize support cards were issued during that time?

By the way, there are lots of offers for the The Two Towers basic out there. Was that a particular huge print run or was that set simply unpopular?

Also, is there a comprehensive list of all card with all of their alternate versions (such as foils, alternate images, previews etc.) somewhere. I was not able to find one on the net.

Hello and welcome on this site. I think you will find most of the answers on this site, but ofcourse I will try to help where possible.
FotR block is indeed the first 3 sets, and they are all printed in foil. Hard to get though, wildthinggames -a shop on Ebay- sells the most foil sets I believe but it is expensive. Other stores will have Fellowship cards, but it became more rare. So if you are to find a boosterbox -maybe at www.wholesalegaming.com- the price will be like 40-50 usd. But I haven't checked in quite some time, so unfindable could also be an option.
The draftpack isn't that interesting. They contain a lot of commons and uncs, interesting only when playing a draft tournement or when you are really low on cards. Price would be like 2 usd. And I also believe they contain 1 random rare.
Each expansion has 2 starters. Fellowship has a Gandalf and an Aragorn starter, Mines of Moria has a Gandalf and a Gimli starter and RotEL has a Legolas and a Boromir starter. The exact content of the De Luxe starter can be found on wholesalegaming.com.
Two Towers is still an interesting expansion, with new options, new fellowships and luckily they go out cheap, due to the massive production, sadly they reduced printing after Bloodlines.
Cardlists are to be found on this site. At the top of the site you can find every set, except the foil versions, but that way there is something left to dream about. I hope I have given you something to work with, and please, just take time to roam around and find everything you need.....

Many thanks for that detailed answer. For now I'll try to get the different starters and to get a feel for the game. However, collecting the block sets would not be out of the question, either.

After checking ebay it seems like it is simple getting the normal and foiled sets of the two expansions (provided you are willing to pay the ebay prices), but getting a foiled FotR core set seems more complicated, because it has to be put together from various sources instead of buying it already complete and ready to be put into the binder.

I looked through the trading forum and many of you seem to have lots of fotr foils. If any of you are reading this and are interested in getting rid of your fotr foils, please contact me.
