It is a cumulative thing - but I have no idea how many points each of us have because I haven't counted it yet!

Thank you. I am most intrigued to see how pear shaped it went for me after an initially promising start. Darn that Nk swooping in and pwning me!

Now updated with the winners of this round. Interestingly, the 2 in equal first place were different cards!

Should we fill out the rest of the cycle for round 9? Shouldn't be all that hard. Here are my initial thoughts. Note that I think Moria should be the easiest to prevent, since the Moria card in this cycle has the most potential for damage with a large swarm.

(0) Can you protect me from yourself? (V) [Isengard]
Event • Assignment
Spot an [Isengard] minion and a companion to prevent that companion being assigned to a skirmish until the regroup phase. The Free Peoples player may exert that companion to prevent this.

(0) Such a little thing (V) [Moria]
Event • Assignment
Spot a [Moria] minion and a companion to prevent that companion being assigned to a skirmish until the regroup phase. The Free Peoples player may discard 2 cards from hand to prevent this.

(0) Why shouldn't I keep it? (V) [Sauron]
Event • Assignment
Spot a [Sauron] minion and a companion to prevent that companion being assigned to a skirmish until the regroup phase. The Free Peoples player may discard 3 cards from the top of his or her draw deck to prevent this.

I think I would make the [Moria] one discard cards from hand and the [Sauron] one discard cards from the top of your draw deck.

Yeah, I could go for that. Except if it's cards from the top of the draw deck it had better be a fair few cards, as that is an easy cost to pay. 5 cards maybe?

It's easy, but the whole point of this cycle you said to me was to stop your opponent from being able to use the prevention clause, which is why I suggested discarding from the draw deck to work with [Sauron] mill. So it might not need to be that high if you're building a whole deck around it.
