NBarden's Idea (couples deck).
« on: December 11, 2008, 08:35:35 AM »
Starting Fellowship.
*The One Ring, The Ring of Rings (11R1)
*Faramir, Bearer of Quality (RB)(17R28)
*Arwen, She-Elf (15R11)
*Eowyn, Dernhelm (7R228)

Sites:
The prancing pony

Fellowship (34)
2x *Celeborn, Lord of Lorien (1R34)
2x *Galadriel, Keeper of Nenya (6R18)
1x *Rosie Cotton, Hobbiton Lass (1U309)
2x *Anduril, Sword that was Broken (17R27)
1x *Aragorn, Thorongil (15R55)
1x *Sam, Proper Poet (2C114)
2x *Gift Of The Evenstar (3R19)
2x *The Choice of Luthien (1R100)
2x The Last Alliance of Elves and Men (1R49)
4x Arwen's Fate (1R93)
2x *Asfaloth, Elven Steed (7R17)
2x *Eowyn's Sword, Dernhelm's Blade (7R230)
2x *Hadafang (12R18)
1x *Sting, Weapon of Heritage (11R173)
2x Ithilien Blade (15C62)
2x Rider's Bow (13U135)
2x Swift Steed (7C253)

There it is! :P
Using galadriel and Celeborn allies because they were less than useless as companions, as do Rosie! :P but they can pump aragorn and Faramir with The last alliance of Elves and Men. Some possessions for the starting fellowship, and aragorn/arwen strenght mechanism.
Sam is there just to suicide himself when things get harder!

Any suggestions? :)

This is an awesome idea. Apart from making couples jokes (Frodo and Sam, for example? :hey: ) there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the deck. Problem is Arwen's Fate is not a good card. You might want to pack some healing like Farewell to Lorien or Athelas/ Kingsfoil to support it and other exertions. There's also no reason to run 2 steeds - you can grab your steed site 1 at Stables. Nor should you use 2 Rider's Bow as it's really not that essential that Eowyn gets one. You should also use Lady of Ithilien, who is much better than Dernhelm.

If Legolas wasn't unique, you could run two of him.

I think he can't afford Stables as site 1 because he needs The Prancing Pony to nab Thorongil out of his deck early.
