ghhhk's deck of the day
« on: January 05, 2009, 05:40:19 PM »
Hi all...

Last year I bought a collection of decks that another player had made.  The box contained several Fellowship sides and several Shadow sides, all with 35 cards so they are compatable.  My kids and I have had fun playing these by randomly pairing decks and I've had fun trying to foil them all :suspect:

Perhaps the cards came from one of you??  Probobly not as I suspect he was getting out of the game.

I thought it would be fun to post a side daily and get some feedback as to how to make each side perfect.  I would like feedback as to how to improve the sides, what you might pair them with in an ideal world, any other suggestions or donations of foil cards that I'm missing ;)

Anyway- Here goes the first.

Isengard Wargs:
Isengard Rider x4 (3 foils)
Isengard Flanker x 4 (all foil)
Warg-Rider x 4 (all foil)
Warg Master x 4 (all foil)
Foul Horde x 2 (1 foil)
Sharku, Warg Captain (foil)
Sharku, Vile Marauder (foil)
Saruman, Master of Foul Folk

Sharku's Warg (foil)
Warg x 4 (3 foil)
War-Warg x 4 (3 foil)

Wolf Voices x 4 (all foil)

Well, that's it.  A pretty basic old-school Warg deck.  Any ideas on how to improve it?

Thanks and I'll add more later.

replace vile marauder with another warg captain, beyond that it looks good.

Exactly how many sides did you get?

I also have fully foiled warg shadow side and it looks like this

4x Sharku, Warg Captain
4x Warg Master
4x Isengard Rider
2x Foul Horde
2x Foul Horde (AI)

2x Warg
4x War-Warg
4x Sharku's Warg

4x Isengard Axe

3x Abandoning Reason for Madness
2x Saruman's Power

How to improve Warg deck? hmmm...
I really don't know because I haven't pay any regard to it after it got fully foiled (for obvious reasons that everyone who owns warg shadow side knows) :/

yup, I never figured wargs out.  I either got all wargs in a hand, or all warg riders.  The only time I ever won games was by pulling a couple copies of Isengard Flanker and swarming the ringbearer.

Therefore, I like the Abandoning Reason for Madness addition. :-)

Hah! You guys got it easy, I pretty much never pull minion cards at all. Or at least I don't pull them until it's too late.  :'(

He speaks truth. Every time we play he either gets all minions or NO minions, with any deck. :suspect:

yeah, but you ever tried to get that combo to work?  I either spend half the game with Wolves of Isengard in hand, or I never draw it.

And, if by some miracle I actually get a sight with that five strength minion, getting it to be an actual plains site is another headache
