has one of you got any idea how to set up such a fellowship?

Start with Leader of Men, and 2 hobbits. 4 times Saved from the Fire. Aragorn obviously with Prancing Pony. Saved from the Fire to get Gandalf, Powerful Guide, Sent Back and another random Gandalf companion. Next turn burn that companion to get Radagast, Treebeard and the next needed companion to even play Treebeard. The hobbits are canonfudder ofcourse. Next you combine it with a cycling shadow, though I know you don't like 'stupid' nazgul and only want to play 'smart' nazguls. That is how I would do it. Maybe add some extra gondor comps, they could be burned to get stuff you need for the gondor part of your deck.
Yeah Nazguls are the way to go, because Nelya, TotNR will switch sites back you need, like extra healing etc etc....

I might get a problem with the rule of 9; which hobbits should I use? bouncing hobbits? or ent-hobbits with momentous gathering?

of course I spent a lot of thoughts onto this topic - but I won't post my ideas because other people may think then the same way and don't stay thinking free...

To counter the rule of 9 you can use those hobbits that can be taken back on hand, and than discard them.....But that is also clogging your hand. So maybe you could consider that condition that gives you muster whit followers...

You could use the self-discarding Hobbits from Towers Block. Learned Guide and Woolly-footed Rascal can discard during their own skirmish, and Impatient Hobbit and Hastiest of All can discard during regroup for benefits that actually work in this particular fellowship.

Also consider starting Frodo and just ONE other Hobbit along with Leader of Men, then start Gondorian Prowler to later burn for [Gondor] cards (like Isildur and some possessions/artifacts).

I would like to play this fellowship, because of several reasons:
each companion has got at least Strength 10
I can spot 3 [Gandalf] companions which allows me to play Flame of Anor; gives a minion strength -3 and it is a spell.
I can discard possessions, liberate sites, discard conditions with eg Pallando, remove burdens... and may be remove threats with hearts raised.
I have got an integrated move +1.
Aragorn and Isildur have got damage +1 - both wear artifacts as hand weapon - which cannot be discarded so easily. If Treebeard wins a skirmish, minions get exerted, play some spells... and there are fewer than six companions out there and only two free people's cultures... ;-)

i would suggest the following starting: Frodo (15C) + Ring of Doom; Leader of Men; Pippin,WoBaS; Gondorian Prowler.
you may pick up Aragorn with Prancing Pony and burn the prowler to pick up your most important gondor stuff, e.g. Anduril, StwB.
if you follow this way, you don't have Isildur as ringbearer, but you got 2 hobbits and a gondor comp for burning in your starting fellowship.  :up:

How about using both Momentous Gathering and Saved From the Fire? Pulling companions with MG will take some of the load off SFtF, allowing SFtF to concentrate on grabbing possessions. A core might look something like this:

Isildur, Bearer of Heirlooms

1 Merry, In the Bloom of Health (kill off when MG is done)
1 Pippin, Wearer of Black and Silver (return to hand and discard)
1 Gandalf, Leader of Men (burn)

1 Aragorn, Thorongil (pull with The Prancing Pony)
1 Erland, Dale Counselor (burn)
1 Gandalf, Powerful Guide
1 Ghan-Buri-Ghan (burn)
1 Radagast, The Brown
1 Treebeard, Enraged Shepherd

4 Saved From the Fire
1 Sent Back
4 Momentous Gathering

That's 18 cards. Artifacts/possessions and choice duplicates might be about 10 more, so that's 28 with some wiggle room.

Obviously what will be burned and grabbed will depend on what's in your hand. One possible path: Use the first SFtF to burn LoM and grab Powerful Guide, Sent Back, and Radagast. Use MG to grab the first sacrificial companion, then burn for the second sacrificial companion, Treebeard, and a [Gandalf] possession. Then burn that sacrificial companion for whatever [Gandalf] possessions are left to draw.

What do you think - how big may this deck be to have a good draw? about 32 cards - more/less?
Which spells could be good for Gandy PG? Let me know what you think, thanks!

I wouldn't go higher than 32 to start with. The fellowship is unstable in the early sites (not to mention gives off bucket-loads of twilight), and is dependent on SFtF. The Shadow should also preferably be able to cycle out FP cards, because if you actually draw into your [Gandalf] companions, Momentous Gathering (and possibly the last couple SFtF) could clog.

For the spells, I might consider using Terrible and Evil instead of Flame of Anor. Great synergy with Thorongil, and it gives you a kill method while you're jumping through hoops getting to Treebeard. Just pass Radagast's Herb Bag to Radagast (really amused Gandalf "stole" it :lol:) after GotM comes down, since it'd be redundant on Gandalf with TaE.
