Yeah, my first game ever with Kralik. It was very late for me, but the chance of dueling with the Founding Father of TLHH was a one I must take!

His Ring-Bound rangers and Sauron Grind vs my Isildur/dwarves and sauron corruption

I designed a new deck with Isildur RB and Dwarves. I wanted to take advantage of ring of fury and scroll of isildur. And so I did, because vs a wounding deck, maximum healing is nice.
He started and was doing just fine. He doubled to site 3, with just 2 towers of barad dur out and 2 minions. I followed him playing my hand out generating a lot of pool. Still I was fine, doing the healing thing directly in the regroup.
He went from 4 to 5 and at 5 he started to feel some pain. He added 2 burdens, not willing to discard his hand and I slapped him with 2x The Ring is Mine. A ranger died and an additional burden was added due to Thin and Stretched.
My shadow was doing just fine so I found it safe to walk just 1 step, led him get away. This leaded to a safe passage for me.
He moved to site 6, playing Pippin. He was slapped with Enquea, and Mablung died. Faramir got exhausted and pippin also died. Well again, my shadow was hurting real bad, his fellowship was reduced to the size of 2.
My fellowship made an other fairly simple move, got 2 arrows which where healed in the regroup.
He healed his Faramir, played another ranger and moved to 7 making 15 pool. This was enough to make Sauron, Lord of the Rings appear along with another orc. At this point Faramir was leaving Frodo at his own...so he lost.
Thanks for the game, though I can imagine it wasn't that much fun for you, taking a blow every turn....sorry for that.

It was a good game! I was unsure of Gil's exact strategy, and he definitely kept me on my toes. I was thinking Tower of Barad-Dur + initiative-based [Sauron] orcs to hit hard with all of the hand discarding, so I tried to move quickly. Unfortunately, it didn't allow my Fellowship or Shadow to get set up very well. I realized I was in trouble when Gil didn't double behind me. :P Also, taking the two burdens from Pelennor Flat was a BIG mistake that cost me the game with Shotgun Enquea.

My [Sauron] trackers didn't even touch his Fellowship! Bravo! =D>

Me vs. NBarden; Towers Block

My Gimli's [Elven] Buddies and [Isengard] Archery vs. His Ring-bound Rangers and [Dunland] Site Control

Truth be told, it was a fairly uneventful game. ;) I had a hard time drawing minions and even with the few I did get, I didn't inflict too many archery wounds. As far as I remember, none of them survived any skirmishes. :P NB's [Dunland] Men used Hides often to negate my [Elven] archery, and they were able to inflict some wounds on my fellowship which were generally healed at sanctuaries. In the end, NB was too cautious and didn't double past site 6. I doubled from 7 to 9 and his [Dunland] swarms almost took the Ring-bearer... if he only had one more burden to use at Palantir Chamber! Elves and Gimli fought back the forces of evil and Frodo took two burdens at 9 vs. 5. Good game, if a little slow. :)

Me vs. Centurion
I was using Tank Dwarves/Site Control Dunland
Centurion was using  Wedding with guests/Uruk Trackers  (courtesy of Anautikus)

I played Gandalf, LOTC and Proud and Able, and Centurion got some wounds in at Site 1, and wounded Gandalf and Linnar each once. I tried sending Wulf and a Dunlanding Headman at Site 1 but Centurion's Elvish Marksmanship and Legolas took care of them and he moved again unopposed to Site 2. I moved to Site 2 and he did nothing, I moved again, to Site 3 and he swarmed me with x2 Goblin Runners a Uruk Plains Runner and a Uruk Foot Soldier and two Vengeances and put another wound on Linnar as well as two burdens on Gimli. He moved to Site and I wasn't able to play anything as he hadn't given me enough twilght. I played Site 4 and sent a Hillman Horde his way, he exerted Legolas, Greenleaf twice and killed him. I moved to Site 4 and he played no minions so I moved again to Site 5 and he played a Goblin Runners a Uruk Runner, a Uruk Plains Runner and a Uruk Seeker. I crushed all the minions but I had to assign one to Gimli and that added two more burdens. Centurion then moved to Site 5 and played Faramir's Followers, Faramir's Bow, Garrison of Osgiliath, and Arwen Queen of Elves and Men. I let Centurion play those unopposed then he moved again to Site 6 and I played x2 Dunlending Elders and Freca, Hungry Savage. He exerted Legolas twice and used Faramir's archery to murder the Dunlendings. I then moved to Site 6 and played a few more cards on Durin III. He played x2 Uruk Chasers and a Weary on Durin III. I assigned the Chasers to Durin III and Linnar and both Chasers were killed and Durin III exerted. I moved again to Site 7 and he sent a lone Uruk Plains Runner my way, which Linnar killed. At the start of his turn he moved to Site 7 and played Aragorn, Elessar Telcontar along with a bunch of freeps cards for 19 twilight. I played a few Dunlending and swarmed him. I moved to Site 8, encountered several more Trackers and then moved again to Site 9 and survived a last Uruk Runner to win the game. I won mainly because of my Tank dwarves as my Dunlendings weren't able to get any Hides out. It was very close, Centurion probably could have won if he moved again a few more times.

MY Ultra-Broken Horns/Demoralized
HIS Ring-Bound Rangers/Battleground Uruk

I won the bet 2 to 1. Unfortunately, that one burden was his undoing.

I went first, pulled off combo, played half my deck, yada yada yada, moved to two, stood up against a few Uruks and sat.

He moved to 2, I played a bunch of set up stuff, Mouth grabbed 3 Howdahs, I played the other one, he took a wound. Then, he played We Must Go Warily and doubled right into a juicy bait. The Prancing Pony. I use it to nab Arwen, Royal Maiden, but it just so happened that the carrot was dangling right before him. He, of course, had no clue what I had in my hand, so was oblivious to the impending DOOM (um...3 copies of Archer of Harad)!

He moved to 3, I set up some more conditions and sat, waiting for him to fall into my evil trap.

I moved to three, calculated so I had exactly 6 wounds and a Deagol in hand for healing.

He added a burden and moved to four. Wham. Magic number. His companions hit 4 resistance, and I dropped a Gothmog, Archer of Harad and Black Land Chieftain for 4 threats and 9 arrows (after Howdahs). He survived the archery but lost 2 comps in the skirmish. Threats triggered, plugging Smeagol full of a bunch of burdens.

I moved to 4, knocked all his guys on the head and sat completely happy.

He moved to 5. Tried to choke me, but I had sitepath control and Sirannon. A pair of Archer of Harad and another Gothmog finished the kill. A bit soon for me, I was looking forward to marching him through a site 6 Steward's Tomb, but he didn't draw extra companions for me to pick off.

Oh well, probably better, as I had 9 cards in deck. :D

Yeah, I wasn't expecting that horn stuff. The last fours sets have such broken combos. I did take that bait though. ](*,)
Anyway, good game NBarden.  =D>

My Elves/Gandalf and Gollum Sauron Corruption

vs

c10ckw0rk's Rainbow and Moria/Corsair Swarm

Good game. Movie block, which I am fairly new to. I am no good at this reporting lark but anyway, I had 7 burdens on him at site 8, he moved and I added 3 more... so I won. c10ckw0rk is a sick deck builder, his swarms are the best I have seen.

Yeah, pretty much devastating (my friend have one) but the sad part is that The Tale of The Great Ring usually kills it, since you probably will not be able to hit it hard more than once or twice per game.

Me vs. Centurion
I was using Ring-bound Rangers/Battleground Uruk-hai
Centurion was using  Wedding with guests/Uruk Trackers  (courtesy of Anautikus)

Great game! I hurt him through the first half; I killed Legolas and Gil-Galad with some broken Brutality kills using Suffered much loss to give my Uruks +5 strength bonuses. He did manage to cap Faramir at site 4 and an Ranger of Ithilien at site 6. Centurion did play a little more conservatively, he didn't double as many times as I did which let me gain a slight lead. I finally doubled to 9 to prevent him from winning and he swarmed me with trackers. A Uruk Runner on Smeagol, BOGS as well as a Vengeance overwhelmed poor Smeagol. It was hilarious because his fellowship was in such a shambles and mine was virtually untouched. Awesome game.

Movie Block game between Kralik and me, using GCCG (Generic Collectible Card Game) which I hope is introduced to The Last Homely House players soon :)

He was using an interesting Galadriel RB wit Dauntless Hobbits and Taurnil deck, focused on the use of the Snow Ring to add burdens, and Shire Countryside/A light in his mind to remove burdens and heal, paired with an easterling captain crunch shadow. I was using my beatdown elves paired with an overwounding kind of nazgul, using the twilight witchking, Toldea WS, Cantea FTW, some morcs for more wounding and Fell Beasts for cycling.

In general terms, my FP had a nice starting setup, while his FP didn't have such luck, and that allowed me to stay in front of him, with Cirdan dealing with the Easterling Captain, and my shadow getting some stops. However, burdens started piling and ended being a huge problem, and they would have been more of a problem if he had packed Ulaire Enquea LoM in his deck (it would also have helped me not having forgotten about Sam SoH when building the deck)

In the end, though, it was a very close game, and I finally drew into Faramir SoD and my only burden removal card, a lone Elf-Song, which allowed me to survive, 2 burdens away from corruption (on site 8 I was just 1 burden away!)

Very nice game against an ever nicer opponent, playing such an interesting deck. I'm very glad to see people is starting to be interested on GCCG, hope you all try and like it! :D

Yikes, that Elf Song was your only one?

I'm beginning to hate Cirdan when he can reduce a +30-ish str Easterling Captain down to -3. It was a good game -- I made a critical mistake earlier on by not discarding Shadow Between when I had the chance, which would have made all of the difference. Healing Cirdan + preventing clog = my deck fail. :P

Rematch game! =D

I was lucky because he didn't draw his high vantage against my archery/what are they deck until it was too late, and he had to made a risky double into 9 where his Boromir RB got overwhelmed by the weild of the ring... great game, thank you!

(And yeah, Movie Block)
