Since no one else had made a thread to post game results I figured I'd start it up since I guess I would be one of the few remaining active players. Feel free to post all game results here. A game between me and G-E should be posted soon.

2 games as a matter of fact. And both I lost, 1 for sure, the other was just a matter of time. First I played Smeagol/Frodo/Bilbo paired with my assignment mess-up. That is a deck which centers around Sense of Obligation, Gollum and Her Ladyship. Without that last one it is kinda hard to win.....Nappy played mountain loving dwarves with Smeagol twist with NG as a shadow. Well it was more than that, because he to pull of the Put Forth His Strength combo. Which is in essence a stupid card, because when you meet the requirements, you have already won...practically. Well he was doing his thing, wounding me and all till my connection fell out. He would have won, for sure!

Game 2. My Solo Smeagol/tentacles vs his Frodo/Aragorn/pippin twist choke with as shadow a Balrog Launch deck. Well I choked him rather good, but a Balrog paired with 3 runners at site 7 was more then I could chew! Well done, my dear friend Nappy and thanks for the good games!

Yes great games always a pleasure to win a double header. Well as any LOtR player knows things can happen at any point in a game so the first game was a draw. I have played several games having the upper hand most if not every site until the one I lost at. The one in particular that springs to mind was my clobbering of Dain with my corrupting orcs that win by decking and spotting 5 burdens to corrupt. At the beginning of his next turn he would have corrupted by nay if puuled ashadow win of his own seconds before his turn would have begun. So in closing the first game wasn't a win for me but was looking good. And the second game took tons of holding and hand clogging for me to get it won. Great game andhope we have plenty more  ;D.

Well it seems this thread si getting any posts so even though I normally don't post my game results I will give a brief result of my last game against G-E.

Game Results:

NK's Gandy Exerting RB with Tentacle Swarm
vs.
G-E's [Elven] events with [Sauron] Beseigers

I bid 1 and he bid 0 so he went first. He played nothing at site one and moved straight to site 2. I played Green Dragon Inn as the site giving me only [6] to work with. I played Evil-smelling Fens (hoping he would double). We both passed the Regroup phase and he moved again. At Site 3 I played Huge Tentacle and used it's text to grab Watcher on the Water, Keeper of Westgate. He assigned Watcher to Glorfindel, Revealed in Wrath and Celeborn faced the Huge Tentacle. Glorfindel Took a wound and Celeborn pumped to keep from dying (I was hoping the strength 9 damage +2 tentacle would score an early kill).

On my first freeps turn I burned Farmer Maggot with Saved from the Fire to grab 2x Home and Hearth and a Scouring of the Shire. I moved and he played Siege Troop bearing Gothmog's Warg. For maneuver I played Be Gone! (exerting Gandy 3 times) to make the Troop strength 15 (would have been better having either the Herb Bag or Terrible and Evil in Hand). I assigned him to Aragorn Strider and lost the fight 8-15. I passed the regroup phase and he controlled site 1. I stayed.

He played a ring on his Galadriel RB (costing 0) and moved to site 4. I played Trollshaw Forest giving me [9] Twilght. I played Captured By the Ring (giving me a threat and Gollum). I then played Led Astray (replacing site 4). I now had 10 twilight to play some tentacles on his small fellowship. I played Another Huge Tantacle (used his text to Grab Watcher in the Water, Many Tentacled Creature). I used Watcher's text to grab my other Huge Tentacle from the discard pile along with a reaching tentacle. I was done. For Maneuver G-E discarded the ring on Galadiel to heal her and place a Siege Troop on top of his draw deck. During the assignment phase Glorfindel faced Watcher, Celeborn faced a Huge Tentacle and Galadriel faced Reaching Tentacle. I assigned the other Huge Tentacle on his RB as expected. Glorfindel took his wound and Celeborn took his 2 wounds. In Galadriel's skirmish he played Forearmed (as excepted with the ring being discarded in the maneuver phase) and reduced my huge tentacle to a measily 0 strength, but she was still overwhelmed 3-7 thanks to Reaching Tentacle spotting 3 other tentacles in play. Great Game G-E.

We continued to play after that so I could test the worthiness of my freeps. I believe they did pretty well, not as consistent as I would like, but fun to play anyway .

My second game back since my months-long break from playing (thanks a lot, master's degree!), and I got my first win in a LONG time, a matchup between two VERY interesting decks....

My WTG / BoQ / Bombadil with Expanded Forestguls (Link)

VS.

AgentDrake's "Dwarven Swarm" with Gollum's Tentacle Swarm

I bid only 1 (should have bid more...it's been a while, folks!), but thankfully he bid 0, so I chose him to go first...very important for my deck and BAD for his, as it turned out. I make him raise an eyebrow with my starting fellowship of Faramir, Bearer of Quality and Aragorn, Well-traveled Guide...he makes me frown with his starting fellowship of SEVEN companions: Gimli, Bearer of Grudges, Thorin III, my namesake Dain Ironfoot, and four Dwarf Guard. Don't waste your time looking it all up: the [3]-cost Dain makes Thorin cost [1] and the Guards each cost (0). It works, trust me.

With Forestguls, I obviously play a forest first: Trollshaw Forest, which is (good for me) the same thing he had at Site 1 to benefit his possession-heavy Dwarves. Between the possessions (and Mountain Homestead) he played, the site I played, and the army of Dwarves he moves with, I got 16 twilight to play with at Site 2, enabling me to play Duplicitous Lieutenant AND Captain of the Nine Riders, even though both were roaming. I nixed his Homestead with DL, then beat up Thorin and Dain pretty good with the pair of Nazzies: two wounds each. He stayed.

For my first move, I did NOT draw a Tom Bombadil (a major key to this deck), but did get plenty of other good stuff: Faramir's Sword and a Ranger's Cloak (both of which I put on Faramir) and my first of many copies of Invigorated. I moved and he played Gollum, not betraying his tentacle strategy yet, and added a threat. Aragorn beat Gollum handily, but smelling a trap (and wanting more forests for my Nazzies), I stayed as well.

He moved to Site 3, and despite all the twilight, I could muster only one Nazgul. He handled it easily enough this time (though with Gimli to keep his other injured guys alive, so he had to add 2 threats) and stayed to heal next turn.

I got Tom out now, and one more Invigorated, but nothing else. The [5] added by Tom, combined with the [2] from companions and more from the site I had played, allowed him to play Evil-smelling Fens with a Goblin Runner and a tentacle...probably would have been more if they weren't still roaming. Faramir was forced to skirmish, and with a threat already added earlier, I had to add the burdens. But I got to remove one of them by exerting Tom with a Nine-fingered Frodo and the Ring of Doom. I lost one of the battles, but I considered moving on...opting to stay when I realized there was twilight left and tentacles wouldn't be roaming anymore from here on out.

He healed up 5 of his 6 wounds, played some Endurance of Dwarves on a couple of his companions (including Dain), some more possessions, and gave me plenty of twilight to work with again. I took advantage, playing the site Buckland Homestead and two Nazgul to discard both of his new Endurances. One of the Nazgul played here was the famous "Shotgun Enquea", Ulaire Enquea LoM, so with plenty of companions to qualify, I exerted three times to kill Dain Ironfoot. He sacrificed one of his Dwarf Guards to make it out relatively intact after that, with just one wound on Thorin and another on a Dwarf Guard, I believe...and that includes the threat wounds. He stayed.

I followed with NOTHING played, giving him very little twilight to work with (thanks to my (0) Buckland Homestead). He played a Watcher with no tentacles, which I was able to best with Aragorn and an event. I wanted to move again, I really did, but I was terrified of tentacles WITH the Watcher already out and with Aragorn still "naked", since I hadn't gotten any cards to play on him yet. I stayed as well.

The next site was rather uneventful...I don't remember much of it, actually. I think I managed just one Nazzie and dropped another wound or two. That was about it. With twilight left over, he wisely stayed put.

I was in for a surprise on my turn. He played Gollum DaD again, adding another threat in the process, but more importantly he used DaD's Shadow ability to wound Faramir and slap a Treacherous Little Toad on him. Faramir, whose ability I rely on later in the game (and requiring wounding him to pull off), suddenly couldn't heal. Ruh-roh. He dropped another Watcher (discarding Gollum) and a tentacle after that, which forced Faramir back into battle. He won, and Aragorn took just one wound, but I had to burn a NfFatRoD to remove the 2 threats and add them back with Faramir's drawback.

All the same, he had drained the twilight pool and I had managed to exhaust the Watcher and kill the tentacle, so I took a gamble and moved again. Luckiest turn EVER: he didn't draw a single minion, and since this particular Watcher was the old-school Keeper of Westgate (rather than the Many-tentacled Creature he had used earlier), he couldn't pull tentacles back from discard either. I gladly stayed to heal Aragorn up next turn.

Poor Drake's next turn was disastrous. Unable to handle anymore wounds with Thorin, he was forced to sacrifice two more Guards and throw Gimli into battle as well, adding 2 threats again, then 3 burdens in fierce (aided by the fact he was forced to wear the Ring). He limped into the second and last sanctuary with six total wounds spread across his three remaining companions, and Gimli now forced to add burdens to fight...and only three away from corruption. And perhaps even worse...I managed to FINALLY pull a Lost n The Woods, which of course went on Gimli as well. Any Nazgul taking him on was now strength +4, as there were 4 forests out by now.

Now ahead in the race, I moved into Region 3. I FINALLY got a card to play on Aragorn -- a Ranger's Cloak -- and Boromir, My Brother to give Faramir a little more vitality...a godsend, since he still couldn't heal. Most importantly, I played Thrarin, Dwarven Smith to give me a throw-away speed bump and absorb a minion, and unknown to Drake, finally got two copies of what made Tom Bombadil great in this deck: One Whom Men Would Follow. I now essentially had the means to handle three minions (or four if Aragorn and his defender bonus could handle two) without Faramir having to fight. Confident for the first time in a while, I strolled into Site 7. Once again, I got very lucky, as he could manage only a Goblin Runner and 2 tentacles. Choosing to save my allies for now (for a potential game-winning double move next turn), I chose to throw Faramir into battle anyway, using him to kill a tentacle while Aragorn (aided by a Swordarm of the White Tower) handled the Runner and other tentacle, taking just one wound in the process. I stayed, prepared as I could be for one final push next turn.

As unlucky as Drake had been so far, he DID manage to heal all wounds as he moved on, thanks to the sanctuary, the one underground site he had managed to play at Site 6, and Till Durin Wakes Again. He also got several possessions on his companions and another Endurance of Dwarves on Thorin. But it was unfortunately all for naught.

I started by playing Ulaire Nelya, Third of the Nine Riders, then used his ability to replace his Site 7 with Woody-End. I played 2 more cheap Nazgul from hand ( Ulaire Lemenya, Assailing Minion and Ulaire Nertea, Dark Horseman, if memory serves), then exerted all three and made him remove a burden to play the toil 2 Witch-king, Captain of the Nine Riders from discard. He took a couple minutes to calculate everything, but with Lost In The Woods now making each Nazgul assigned to Gimli strength +5, and many of his pumps used up earlier, even with the weakest two Nazgul assigned to Gimli, he was forced to either let Gimli be overwhelmed or put on the Ring and survive, but corrupt himself when he lost and was forced to add a burden. He chose the corruption route, and a very good game between two evenly-matched decks came to a close.

I would have been VERY curious to see if I could have survived the next two sites. I still had plenty of burdens I could have added and been fine, but whether or not I could handled an all-out tentacle swarm...it would have been close. REALLY close, either way. His Shadow side was pretty much the perfect counter for my Freeps, but he was cursed by bad drawing. My Shadow side turned out to be a tough match for HIS Freeps as well, so it all came down to luck, in my opinion. For this game, I had THAT going for me.

Well played, Drake! Hope we get to play again sometime soon.

Dain, I guess you have been lucky, because tentacle swarm must be the most NPE around. And I have seen many decks, played a lot but it is such an easy deck that hurts sooo bad....blugh

Yeah, but I try to keep it from being too annoying. I really hate anything NPE, so I try to add strategy. Hence the Gollum, DaD with Treacherous Little Toad, and et cetera.

Dain's got a really fun deck, though.
Forget it. I'm not arguing with the computer anymore to try to get the sig I want....

Actually, the right deck (elves) drops Tentacles immediately. Use some targeted stuff on Watcher, condition tossing on ESF immediately and suddenly, swarms disappear. That's how I've been able to crunch Tentacles.

Caring for my wife most of today, who just had a wisdom tooth pulled this morning. Hopefully I'll get the report up today.

She's also insisting I stick with my normal game tonight, so assuming she doesn't end up needing me after all, I'll be up for another game this evening.

NappyKorn's Underground/Mountain Dwarves with Machinegun Enquea

vs.

My Frodo/Sam/Wizard Choke with Slowly Advancing Nazzies

NK's deck I'd seen before, and it's usually lethally effective. The Free Peoples side uses some of the Dwarves' heaviest hitters (Durin III, Dain Ironfoot, Gloin SoG, and Gimli FA) with Slinker, either winning skirmishes with the Dwarves or just negating minions with Slinker's skirmish ability. It helps that he uses Resolute Hobbit as his Ring-bearer, so he can add LOTS of burdens and use Slinker's text pretty much whenever he needs it.

He also slaps a Follow Smeagol onto Slinker and controls the sitepath, laying down mountains and underground sites for his Dwarves to use with Mountain Homestead and Till Durin Wakes Again. Nothing too fancy beyond that...just some basic weapons and rings to make the Dwarves bigger, though not enough to make Durin his normal beastly self.

The Shadow side is all about the famous Ulaire Enquea, Lieutenant of Morgul, pairing him with Ring of Rancor for maximum carnage. (Last time I played this deck, Shotgun Enquea slaughtered me almost singlehandedly.) It also has a smattering of other Nazzies and [Wraith] Orcs that harrass the Ring-bearer, get initiative to get bigger, and add some threats and/or burdens along the way.

My deck has a semi-choke for the FP side, with only Frodo, Sam, and Gandalf (with a Radagast tossed into the deck for potential help later in the game). It makes Frodo and Sam big with A Promise and swords, and Gandalf is rather large eventually as well with Foe-hammer, Gandalf's Staff, Radagast's Herb Bag, and Pallando.

Of course, it uses Saved From The Fire to help set all this up. The starting fellowship has Leader of Men, who is burned as soon as possible in favor of Gandalf Returned, who then loads up on the aforementioned gear.

Like NK's deck, my fellowship ALSO benefits from site control, with Concerning Hobbits being my prime Hobbit event. Other pumps come in the form of Servant of the Secret Fire and the token conditions (which Returned can reinforce) Sudden Fury and Not the First Halfling.

Once Gandalf and all his stuff are out, the deck chokes pretty well. The spells are all free thanks to Gandalf's Staff and Concerning Hobbits is free as well, so the only twilight added is during the fellowship phase...and again, once Gandalf is burned and resurrected, there's not much to be added after that.

My Shadow side is sort of a hybrid between my favorite Forestguls (who help set up Concerning Hobbits) and Shapes Slowly Advancing. I've used this condition before, but always as a sort of side strategy. This time, it's the main focus, with the goal not of possible corruption, but of forcing the FP player to take companions into hand and then, when they're replayed, hammering them with Out of Sight and Shot and Surrounded by Wraiths. It cycles like mad with Hatred Stirred, Ithil Stone, and lots and lots of Nazzies; like most of my Ringwraith decks, this one typically drops 4+ Nazgul by the latter half of the game. Dark Approach is a big help in this regard (especially paired with Black Shadow), but the cost of replying companions over and over helps out a lot too.

Okay, now the actual game. I bid to make him go first. My Shadow draw was terrible, with NO Nazgul and Swarthy Sneering Fellow the only minion in my hand. But my FP hand was excellent, so I kept it. I put Ferny on Smeagol to force him to either exert early (he already had Follow Smeagol, which I knew would be problematic) or add a burden to win. He chose the latter, saving the exertion to use Follow Smeagol that turn and play Site 3. Somewhat surprisingly, he stayed, perhaps falsely thinking I had more minions in my hand. Lucky me. :D

My first turn, I played Not The First Halfling, A Promise, and used a SftF to pull Returned (using his text to grab Foe-hammer), Gandalf's Staff, and of course, Sent Back. I had the Herb Bag in my hand, so Gandalf started out fully loaded.

Unfortunately, so did the twilight pool...one thing I hadn't thought fully through. Between the condition and all Gandalf's tricks, I added 14 twilight before I ever moved! With it being Site 2 and all minions being roaming, he was a LITTLE limited in what he could do, but not enough. He made me pay for my oversight and got three minions out, including a Morgul Brute. Four wounds and a burden later, I stayed.

Site 3 was relatively uneventful. I only got one Nazgul out, but that was enough to also play SSA, OoSaS, and SbW. He took a wound from the Nazzie but managed to kill it before regroup (negating Shapes), used Follow Smeagol again, and opted to stay. As he did so, though, he used There's Another Way to replace Site 3 with my least favorite site in the game: Steward's Tomb. Not much healing in my immediate future.... :-\

My FP hand was awful, but fortunately I didn't give him much twilight, so I was able to limp into Site 3 without any further damage.

Site 4 began a slow, slow grind with my Shadow side. I got two out now, and while he managed to discard one with Dain's ability, he was forced to start paying attention to Shapes. He chose to take Gimli back into hand, comforted by the fact that he'd he able to play him next turn for only [2] (thanks to Dain).

Unable to heal, I dragged my small, wounded fellowship forward. Sam fell valiantly defending Frodo from further damage, and I stayed.

Next turn, he doubled for the first time, once again taking Gimli into hand to negate Shapes at Site 6. But my Nazgul began to get to him, and he was forced to keep piling on the burdens to protect Smeagol (Dark Horseman avoiding Dwarves helped) and taking some wounds with his other companions. He still only had one Mountain Homestead out, so only Durin was able to regularly defeat Nazgul thrown his way, and even he had to be selective. By the time the dust had settled, he had made it to Site 6, but Dain had fallen, Gimli was clogging his hand, burdens were reaching high levels, and wounds were starting to pile up...more by now than the sanctuary would be able to handle.

Unable to double myself, I forged ahead to Site 5, the choking my only saving grace. I FINALLY got my first pumping event, using Concerning Hobbits and Not the First Halfling to help Frodo and Gandalf avoid too much more damage. I think I had 6 wounds between them now...good thing my Ring was Ring of Doom and its vitality +2! I stayed.

NK replayed Gimli (now at [4] thanks to Dain's demise and Surrounded by Wraiths), finally got another Mountain Homestead, and moved forward. I hammered him again with four Nazzies, aided by the fact that he forget to play Site 7, allowing me to play Woody-End to combo with the two Dark Approach and Black Shadow I had in hand. Much of the healing the sanctuary had afforded was wiped out. Knowing Shapes wasn't going to be enough by itself now (the potential healing of taking companions into hand would help him a lot more than it would hurt him), I chose not to use it and instead forced him to stay with his wounds and ever-increasing burdens.

As per usual for my turn, I drew no more pumps (STILL had not seen a single one of my FOUR copies of Servant of the Secret Fire), no Radagast, and nothing else to really help, so moved ahead to Site 6. I took a little more damage here, but like I seemed destined to do this whole game, I simply survived. With what I believe was eight total wounds by now, I stayed, thankful to see no Steward's Tomb under my feet at THIS sanctuary.

Next turn, I claimed my second Dwarf kill, as Gimli became a speed bump over which my Nazzies sped. He managed to do some healing with Ring of Fury, but now down to four companions and only 2 burdens from corruption, things were still looking a bit dire. With Nazgul still on the table, he stayed at Site 8.

I healed as much as I could, healing Gandalf fully and leaving three wounds on Frodo. Why? Because I FINALLY got two copies of Servant of the Secret Fire, and I used them to fend off NK's next attack, exerting Gandalf each time I played SotSF to lay wounds on his minions (thanks to Radagast's Herb Bag). Even through there were now two Morgul Brutes on Frodo, with SotSF, another timely Concerning Hobbits, Sudden Fury, and Ring of Doom, was able to actually win and avoid any further damage. I was finally confident enough to double, and if I had drawn Radagast (and potentially been able to triple to Site 9 and win right then and there), I probably would have. But since NK was about to move to 9 anyway, there was no point, so I stayed.

It all came down to this. My own fellowship lagging far behind, and only one site left in front of NK's reduced and wounded fellowship, it was up to my Nazzies to settle this game. Unable to play Site 9 last turn thanks to an exhausted Smeagol, I once again got to play it myself, choosing to drop Sirannon Ruins with its Shadow number of [4]. Between that and another Dark Approach, I was able to drop only three Nazgul...but one of them was my trump card (which, to be honest, I'd forgotten I tossed in :P): Ulaire Enquea, Lieutenant of Morgul! That's right...I killed him with his own primary Shadow card, using Shotgun Enquea to kill off Durin. Now with more minions than he could handle, and Frodo unable to pump with The Great Ring enough to survive his skirmish because he was pretty much maxed out on burdens, I was able to claim the most improbable victory EVER.

It is only because I kept my burdens down that I survived. He had drawn his own Shotgun Enqueas plenty of times throughout the game, but couldn't use him because I kept my burdens low enough (though his Brutes and Ulaire Attea, Wraith on Wings sure tried to remedy that!) and obviously never had anywhere close to 6 companions. I thought I was done for from the moment I saw Steward's Tomb, but this game was a testament to never, EVER giving up, because you never know when a miracle like your OWN Shotgun Enquea might save your butt. :P

Great game, NK...probably the best I've ever played. Sorry it took me so long to report on it. :-[ If you want to add anything (I probably forgot some details since Sunday), go for it!
