Format: Movie

My: Regroup Loop and Beasterling Cycle
vs.
Kaan's [Elven] archery with [Sauron] \ [Isengard] conditions

We both bid 0 and he won the roll. He went first and played the elf friendly site. He gave 16 twilight and I had 2 hand clogging saurons in hand and a few easterlings. I passed hoping he would move and when he didn't I cried and tossed a copy of sauron. On my first turn I play radagast and A Light in his Mind and moved, took a few wounds and stayed myself.

We both singled to 3 to heal up some and he single stepped to 4 where he faced a few easterling and I put some tokens an my [Raider] ship by tossing everything I couldn't play trying to set up my free peoples. I singled to 4 because I wasn't quite setup for the race yet. He single moved to 5 and faced a few minions one going on galadriel thanks to visions from afar but he had a handful of events. I got my perfect hand (minus an aragorn's bow). I played 4x The Shire Country side and the rest of the free people's cards in hand and moved to site 5. I shot his minions up with greenleaf (bearing Tale of Gil-galad and Aiglos), For regroup phase I lost initiative with Ranger of Osgiliath thus peeling burdens (which were added at will by Bilbo the ring-bearer). Using the ranger I exhausted his minion then killed them off 1 at a time with hardy garrison. I was able to heal my fellowship up enough with the 4x SCS and discard all his condition in play. I drew cards with the seeing stone to keep regaining initiative and using ranger to lose it. When I drew my copies of Last Throw I played them to a.) bump the move limit and b.) save a card to lose initiative (instead of 2 with the ranger). Each regroup phase I was doing the same thing healing up tossing any condition he got into play peeling all my burdens and exhausting/fatal last wounding everything that was left after archery.

I never drew a single Aragorn's Bow but decided to let greenleaf try to get it done by himself. I ran from site 4 to site 9 and got the win. It was a great win and my opponent was shocked with how it went (even without trusty Aragorn's bow).

Thanks for the game Kaan,

NK

Stop being a whiner! I just finished a game vs Kaan as well, and since the site is almost dead, I care to post that game here as well. As a matter of fact, I will post a deck as well, since it is the one I played.
Kaan -who happens to have become a father for the first time recently as well- played the deck as mentioned above. I played a deck new to me, but one I have been toying with for quite some time. Feared Axeman, Sindri and Isildur make up the starting line up. Idea is to cycle fast, stack cards on 2 conditions, stack tokens on 2 other conditions, stack events in regroup, use them in skirmish, win a lot, heal with Aragorn, Defender of the Free People and ruin the support area of the opponent with BRC. It just did all that :D. My Aragorn showed up late however -site 6- as did Durin -site 8- but luckily I had a well timed BRC at site 4, nuking the weary's and the Thin and Stretched that was stressing my fellowship. Game was interupted by a diper alarm, but then we continued. My Dunlend didn't stand a single chance :D. Other than that, it was a nice game.

Thanks Kaan

I have recently started playing some on Marcin's program. I barely was able to spot 5 orcs at site 5 to prevent a possible double. I have the deck I played in the deck clinic if you wanna see it . I was worried about Nazgul and Uruk-hai against this deck the most, but now I dont have to work so much about Nazgul (at least the twilight kind). Over-look the fact that I didnt use site 5 to make my Balrog cheaper and get more minions out, not to mention I'm thinking of replacing my site 4 in case Bill the Pony keeps coming early so it can at least loser the cost of that site (since if I only play cards and give 2 pool or less and have Bill, NSttS, and ATFNBS) and can move to Bridge and only give 7 which means no Balrog unless the opponent runs Moria or other ways to add pool.

I have managed to beat Moria two times with this Free Peoples as well but I think my opponent had bad luck once and the other time was Moria Archery not swarm. Anyway enjoy the game replay if you watch it, deck seems pretty solid in the times I have played it.

Yeah, that was painful. I didn't even get a chance to try out my Ring-bound rangers w/ Rohan horses concept.

Expanded format vs CT. My Gondor super-wounding fellowship with Men Archery, vs his Elf/Gondor super archery + super healing fellowship and Sauron besiegers.

My fellowship didn't fight any skirmish phases all game due to getting enough possessions for Denethor's tricks, and Aragorn picking off the survivors with his bow. But he won the bid so I was forced to play catchup all game. I did a little wounding to his fellowship with my archers, but Elrond and Shadow Between kept him relatively healthy. He used Aragorn, Thorongil a couple times to weaken some of my guys so Legolas could pick them off, but he had no way to remove those threats, which became key later on in the game.

Finally, on site 9, he was a little beaten up, but still it seemed like he would pull off the victory, especially when he used Elrond + Vilya to return two copies of my Howdah to hand. But I finally got out enough arrows to kill off a companion, and then the threat wounds kicked in, and the rest of his companions toppled like dominos.

I was really surprised to get in a shadow kill just when things looked dire for me.

FotR block game, both shadow sides were Nazgul. I managed to double to 3 (opponent had bad draws I could see due to Sting), he then doubled with Cantea on the table to his own Ford of Bruinen. I had 4 twilight. I played Nelya (cost 0 due to site), changed site to my copy of Ford of Bruinen and played Witch-king for 3 twilight. Too bad Nelya can only change opponent's sites for mine and not the other way round, I would use the trick one more time ;)

Due to a lot of pumps and me making mistakes with assigning I didn't win at that site, but lone Frodo had to give up one site later.

I wonder if that's an error in the programming. You shouldn't be able to get two -5 Nazgul, even if you change the site with Nelya.

Why shouldn't I?

Should I be able to play a Nazgul for -5 if I play Nelya to my opponent's non-Ford of Bruinen site and then replace it with my own Ford?

From your description, it sounded like he moved to his Ford of Bruinen, then you used Nelya to change it to your own copy of Ford of Bruinen. You can't get the -5 more than once.

I think if the site changes you can use the new one's effect agin, even if they are the same site.
