Bilbo BOTB
« on: March 12, 2009, 05:07:40 PM »
Can anyone tell me a hobbit 'tale' that you would use Bilbo's text to play??
I can't really think of any that would be an advantage to play in the regroup phase.
(I'm sure there would have to be at least one?!) Bilbo BOTB

Well... you could play Nine-fingered Frodo and the Ring of Doom to remove the burden you just added. NK opened a nice loop using The Shire Countryside, A Light in his Mind and Red Book of Westmarch to make a nice healing/drawing loop... only legal in Open unfortunately.

I have in the past used it for There and Back Again because it's unique. If you want it for the double move, you can play it using his text.

if you are in movie block, you can have a few the shire countryside in play, then removing the burden you added with nine-fingered frodo and the ring of doom will heal some of your companions.

why does NK's loop need the shire countryside? it seems like as you play/draw you will be removing burdens with a light in his mind. i don't see where you need the healing of countryside. but, i might be missing something.

ok, so it isn't necessary to the loop, but it makes it heal everything.
