Regroup: Once per Turn if the fellowship has moved more then once,
the Shadow player may discard 3 Nazgul from play to move
the fellowship back one site.  If that site is controlled by any
player it must be placed back on the sitepath and is concidered
released. The Free People player may place an unbound companion
in the deadpile to prevent this.

Regroup: When The fellowship have moved more then once the shadowplayer may discard 3 Nazgul from play to force The fellowship to move one site back; The Freepeopleplayer may prevent this to place an unbound companion into the deadpile.

This needs rewording

This would be appropriate. However I am not too sure about inroducing moving people back sites as this opens so many abuses of site path and twilight manipulation etc etc.

Spot 3 Nazgul and exert each of them to prevent the
Free Peoples player from moving again. The Free People
player may discard a companion to prevent this.

This is a different take. I think the next one would be more sensible...

I think smeagollum's idea was nice, cause I think he wanted something new. we all the know the exert and -1 move limit stuff. this might be interesting. besides, this is how new abilities develop. to try it and find out. kewl!

Actually that's just the whole idea. It will give the game a whole new dimension! Besides it's not that easy to do this: You need a lot of twilight. The card is Unique. And it can be prevented. The way to make it happen will cost the shadow deerly!

Exactly Vroen! That's what my intention!

it is an event, events aren't unique. they are played once and discarded.

Then you'll have to discard more nazguls as well.. I think that will be rather difficult. But I will buildin something to prevent it happen more then once!

hm in magic you could deal with unique events, cause they remain on the stack until all cards are played. this could work here, perhaps, too. Or maybe you can switch the uniqueness with an ability that allows only one copy of it in the deck, like cards on the x-list

Use "Event •  Regroup" or "Regroup:" both on one card are too much.

Strange wording. Good Idea. Problems if facing Site-Control. Where to move back?

Maybe make it liberate a site as part of the effect, to avoid problems with controled sites.
And Spied From Above or Peril with some card drawing could move the fellowhip all the way back to the shire :P. So, maybe make it spot 3 nazgul and discard all minions.

Smeagollum, if you want more comments, you may want to combine all your cards into one thread instead of cluttering up the board with a different thread on each card.

I actually thought on that. It's exactly what Bombadil said. I will moderate the text!

I actually really like this idea, but maybe make it a unique condition instead of an event.  That would keep the spirit of your idea alive, but make it a little more vulnerable (to condition removal).

Just a rephrase:

Regroup: If the fellowship has moved more than once this turn, discard 3 Nazgûl and this condition from play to move the fellowship back 1 site on the adventure path (if that site is controlled by a player, it is liberated, returned to the adventure path and all cards stacked on it are discarded). The Free Peoples player may place an unbound companion in the dead pile to prevent this.

I'm using italics to mean "helper text" like they do sometimes on MTG cards, because it's not really part of the text of the card, it's just a clarification for what might be a confusing instruction.

Also, doesn't Gollum in the film say "Shire! Baggins!" not "Baggins! Shire!"?
