Splash elf
« on: April 28, 2009, 04:17:41 AM »
Hi there,

Does anyone of you know if there is a good and useful splash elf (a spotter elf...)  around - probably standard legal?

If you don't want to play elves but need one to spot to use some elven cards... which elf would that be?  ???  #-o  ](*,)  >:(  :x
Mithrandir I am known to the Elves, Tharkun to the dwarves; Olorin was the name in my youth in the West which is forgotten, in the South Incanus, in the North Gandalf; into the East I will not go."

I would say Legolas, FM is good for this.... or also Legolas OTWR.

Possibly Arwen QOEAM...?

Depending on your deck, Rumil, SE or Orophin, SE

Rumil SE and Orophin SE are great!! If you could start Legolas FM with Rumil SE, you get at least 3 archery wounds straight away...

Woodhall Elf also helps using Legolas, FM.

What does your deck do? I would pack Rumil in a wounding deck or Legolas, Fearless Marksman for other decks.

Wounding generally....Legolas, Fearless Marksmen could be used for cycling as well, with some of the better 'new' elf cycle cards...

Legolas, FM
Rumil, SE
Orophin, SE
Gil-Galad, HKON
Namarie
Leaving Forever
Elven Marksmanship
That new Arwen Event... The examine top 5 one.
Woodhall Elf

but if what he wants is a 'splash elf', he can also be used purely for cycling for good shadow hand.

Just suggesting things that's all...who do you think would be a good 'splash elf'?

Glorfindel, Revealed in Wrath (just a plain fighter)
Elven Guardian (not unique, hunter)
Legolas, SG (to spot "Legolas", resistence 7, archer)
Arwen, Royal Maiden (to spot "Arwen", Ranger, carddrawing)

I use the Elven Gaurdian in 4 different decks.  Very nice non-unique Comp.

I guess Orophin SE may be a good choice...

Yes.

LOL.

It seems weird to think his full name was Legolas 'Felipe' Musco. Thranduil must be part Brazilian.
