Standard Legal Infinate Loop
« on: May 01, 2009, 12:39:29 AM »
I'm sure someone has thought this up already but I found a loop to draw your entire deck, standard legal!

cards:
Gil'Galad, High King of the Noldor
Leaving Forever
Namarie x2
3-5 Hunter companions

Ok in the regroup phase
1. Discard leaving forever to draw two cards.
2. Play it back with Gil'Galad removing a token from Namarie.
3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 until left with one token on the namaries
4. Discard leaving forever to discard a namarie.
5. Remove a token with Gil'galad to play back namarie adding several tokens.
6. Remove a token to play back Leaving forever.
7. Repeat Steps 4-6.
8. Repeat Sequence until entire deck is drawn.

If someone else has found this please tell me.

Cool that people are coming up with it independently, though. You could also slip other conditions into the loop (replacing the draw cards step), like a full set of Elven Marksmanship.

But once you have drawn all of your deck, then what? Maybe you could find some way to abuse the move limit (see Radagast thread in archives). Elves + Rohan? Leaving Forever can discard the Rohan conditions...

It's great with tentacles, since The Watcher in the Water, Many-tentacled Creature grabs from the discard pile. Also it assembles a hand in the process, so I'm using it to get Watcher, ESF, So Polite x4, and Led Astray x2. What tentacles need are more twilight. :P

Another idea is to use Manager of Wizards to put them back, though it can backfire badly if the Shadow player declines to play any minions. Seems like increasing the move limit would be needed.

hah got it, start Rumil, Silvan Elf and Faramir, Captain of Ithilien pull Thorongil with east wall of Rohan then have radagast in your deck, pack 4 last throw and boom +5 move limit. or maybe even a couple rohan companions to use News From the Mark or  stern people, after all with your entire deck you can discard a few cards

and extra minions aren't a problem since you can discard all minions each regroup with ancient blade.

Just remember that Ancient Blade makes you reconcile ie discard down to 8 - not good.

made this deck and played it, ancient blade was a no-no instead i used gandalf and gandalf's hat to remove lots of twilight. I got the loop at 4 and used last throw and radagast to move all the way. A saved from the fire on jarnsmaid at site 2 to pull radagast, gandalf and the hat. I actually used the smeagol card... name escapes me, the one to play a condition with Dammed Gate Stream at 2 also, pulling a leaving forever. I started Isildur RB, Faramir and Rumil left out thorongil. oh yeah, used mainly still needed and final shot as the big events. I paired it with a moving this way nazzie deck
