Pippin, In The Bloom Of Health (Starting)

Companions - 9
Arwen, Queen Of Elves And Men x2
Gandalf, Powerful Guide x2

Gandalf and Aragorn

Frodo, Hope Of Free Peoples
The One Ring, Ring of Rings

34 Cards

Companions - 6
Aragorn, Guide And Protector
Gandalf, Powerful Guide x3
Pippin, Wearer Of Black And Silver x2

Possessions/Artifacts - 7
Aragorn's Bow x3
Gandalf's Staff, Ash Staff x2
Glamdring, Foe-Hammer
Glamdring, Lightning Brand

Events - 15

Prolonged Struggle x2
Rally The Company x3
Threw Down My Enemy x3

Conditions - 6
Behold The White Rider x2

Pros: Has a little bit of everything.
Cons: Swarms are death traps and it requires winning a lot of skirmishes for burden removal.

So yeah give me advice on them, or totally new archtypes with Gandalf, PG in them.

I would go for the Gandalf and Elves twist, though I would consider more spells for Gandalf to take advantage of.

A Gandalf PG deck for standard would be nice... expanded I can think of a very evil one...
Mithrandir I am known to the Elves, Tharkun to the dwarves; Olorin was the name in my youth in the West which is forgotten, in the South Incanus, in the North Gandalf; into the East I will not go."

I think the version with Guide and Protector has the most interesting and promising premise. You need some skirmish healing there though, like Invigorated (if there is any, some healing for non-[Gondor] companions), or Strength of Spirit, which is an awesome combo with PG and GaP. For starting fellowship, I'd probably play a Boromir or Faramir with perhaps something like Ranger of the White Tree and/or WoBas, then plan on bidding to go first and playing Aragorn using the Prancing Pony.

Unfortunately, for a combo deck like PG you want the kind of fetching only SftF can give you, in which case I would start LoM with WoBaS and a [1] cost [Gondor] Man, then you can burn Gandalf for Sent Back and PG and the herb bag, and burn the [Gondor] guy to pull all your [Gondor] cards together.

hmm but how do i assure i get sftf early?
I actually changed the second one a bit to add more spells and so far i like that one even though i see what you're saying thranduil... Now I'm considering starting Aragorn, Well Traveled Guide until i pull the right cards especially since i don't own many sftf

By running a 30/30 deck (which, to be honest, I'm a great believer in anyway - I think the fewer cards in your deck, the better it's going to be in almost all cases). If you don't have an opening hand which includes it, then you mulligan. But all these decks I reckon could with without SftF, but they'd need to be as slim as possible, 32/32 maximum.

Unfortunately, it loses some of the appeal without Guide and Protector - it's the wounding combos that really got my attention, as it allows you to get 3 wounds for playing 1 spell.

and for this you need at least one elf... but PG (two hobbits)... perhaps some other [Gandalf] comps and elves... ???
