Elves began it, or did they?

"Elves began it, of course, waking trees up and teaching them to speak and learning their tree-talk. They always wished to talk to everything, the old Elves did"

At least that's what Treebeard thought, but alas the old Ent was wrong!  It wasn't the Elves who did it, it was Kralik.  Yes Kralik insists on waking us sleepheads up saying "speak now, on this here forum or risk being culled".
We had never heard of 'culled', it wasn't on the old lists, we checked.  But then the halflings explained and so we broke off our search for the Ent-wives to say hello & thank you.  For this is a wonderful site and an excellent resource and all those involved should be congratulated.

Now we have spoken we shall resume our search but will return another day.  In the meanwhile should you see the Ent-wives - blue eyes, blond leaves & big branches  - please let us know. ;D
