Non-rare cards are good cards too!
« on: July 14, 2009, 09:26:35 AM »
Hi there,

I want to know your favorite and most-used non-rare cards in game

I am thinking of:

Shadowplay (very, very strong card!)
Ulaire Nelya, Third of the Nine (switch sites)
Captured by the ring (very nice)

any other ideas from your side - let us know  :-k

Mithrandir I am known to the Elves, Tharkun to the dwarves; Olorin was the name in my youth in the West which is forgotten, in the South Incanus, in the North Gandalf; into the East I will not go."

or

Goblin Scimitar

Ulaire Enquea, Lieutenant of Morgul probably my favorite card works in any deck

All these C/U carcds are okay, but everyone knows you can't ever beat a rare like The Weight Of A Legacy.

I'd choose the venerable Ulaire Enquea, Lieutenant of Morgul. Love the design for this one:

- Defensive use (and easily splashed) against large fellowships.
- Offensive use by designing a deck to get to 5 burdens.
- Directly kills companions of your choosing, which is as satisfying as it gets.
- Can still be countered by decks prepared for him (e.g. with maneuver wounding).

Wish it was legal in Standard.

Wish it was legal in Standard.

you get 5 burdens, and then you keep playing enquea, lom and he can add 4 wounds easy with ring of rancor, throw in that condition that heals nazzies during the maneuver and he adds more, and if you have extra burdens, you can use rancor's text to dish out more wounds. its really quite lethal. i like to throw in orthanc berserker. if the freeps player is careless enough to give you enough twilight, you can exhaust a companion before even using enquea.
Indeed!

shotgun enquea is broken in standard ;)

Why is it called Shotgun Enquea?
