The trick with the fellowship is to lose initiative by playing Still Needed, make a minion -4 with Glimpse of Faith, place SN on top, draw it with Banner of Elbereth and repeat process until you killed all the minions (fleet footed can be used too). Eowyn is a Enquea/direct wounding protection.

The shadow is classic Ninja Gollum... Wound with They stole it, exert with Promise keeping... and kill. Then You are a liar and a thief kills more.

Hmm...that's kind of what I was thinking. As for the Free Peoples, I would run Gandalf, Manager of Wizards with Brooding on Tomorrow to make initiative loss easier. That's the way my brother plays his Glimpse of Fate deck.

I think I'd try to get this deck down to 30/30 or 32/32 at the highest. Let me see what I can do...

1x *Arwen, Fair Elf Maiden (7R16)  (START) (but i Legolas, GL may be a better option.

Why not Legolas, Fearless Marksman to lose the initiative for Glimpse of Fate?

32 cards is not enough. With Ninja Gollum, you must always try to discard cards with They stole it to kill the companions. In your version, you need more they stole it and more promise keeping... at least 3 each. Those cards are the key of the deck and you must draw deck as early as possible.

I think I would likely run Ninja Gollum with Dwarves anyways. Stack the cards on Preparations, then use Rest By Blind Night to send them back into the draw deck. A few Goblin Runner in there too maybe...

Saved From the Fire Smeagol?

Starting:
Gimli, Bearer of Grudges with the One Ring, the Binding Ring
Gandalf, Leader of Men
Linnar, Dwarven Lord
Smeagol, Poor Creature (especially poor when he gets his #$&*@! burned!)

Free Peoples (34):
Durin III, Dwarven Lord
Sindri, Dwarven Lord
Aragorn, Driven By Need x3
Sam, Son of Hamfast

Preparations x4
Ever My Heart Rises

Saved From the Fire x4
Rest By Blind Night x3
Slaked Thirsts x3
Battle Tested x3

Narya
Ring of Fury
Ring of Accretion
Gimli's Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon
Dwarven Axe x3

Dunharrow Plateau will grab Ever My Heart Rises (between that and your first hand, you are bound to get Preparations and a copy of Saved From the Fire!) If you did get a Saved From the Fire in your opening hand, go ahead and grab Preparations.

That's 34 cards and gives a little room for a couple copies of Goblin Runner. Rest By Blind Night would allow me to recycle [Gollum] cards that I stack on Preparations (I do this regularly with my [Moria] swarm deck)!

Edit: Has it been 15 minutes? Here's another :gp: for your knowledge and suggestions!

Your fellowship needs condition removal and possession removal.

I don't think you really need Goblin Runner in your Ninja Deck as you usually don't need many twilight to do big damages. Add Desert Lord instead.

Oh, Blood Runs Chill x2. That's a necessity for any Dwarven deck!

Ok, I started playing this deck again cuz I was tired to lose with my 'fun' decks...

I made some changes in there too. Legolas is in the starting now and I added 1 The Tale of the Great Ring to have some decent swarm protection. I changed all the random pumps I had for Fleet Footed and I added Crashed Gate as a site 5 so I can give a site to my opponent and have another 'Still Needed-like' card. Fleet Footed also provides additional power vs all those Besiegers.

On the shadow side, after some playtesting I decided to only use Gollum, Vile Creature and I added 1 Desert Lord and 1 Ulaire Enquea, LoM.

Arwen, Echo of Luthien + Mallorn Trees

This combo is devastating with with the GoF mechanic.

Elven Sword is essential to any Glimpse of Fate deck.  I would suggest throwing in a few copies.  That Arwen and Mallorn Trees combo is pretty nice as well.

Do not take dragons lightly.  They are heavier than you think.

That's a pretty good idea Imrahil. I'll be able to remove Smeagol from the deck by using this version of Arwen. I guess I could also discard a card from hand for no effect by using her if I don't want to discard my entire draw deck.

I tried making a Glimpse of Fate deck here:
http://lotrtcgwiki.com/forums/index.php/topic,3661.0.html

But it's not movie obviously.

On a bit of a tangent, I am very interested in combining Glimpse of Fate with elven telepathy, perhaps through the use of Nenya RoA and Forearmed.  I figure a deck would work something like this:

You play a couple cards during fellowship, then discard Nenya to place a couple cards on top of your deck (to get down to four cards).  Once you're down to four, play Inside a Song to simultaneously lose initiative, grab a Forearmed,  add a token (if applicable), and gain initiative again. :-)  In skirmish, assign a minion to either Shrouded Elf or Elrond WoH (with banners obviously) and play a Forearmed.  If you were smart like me and stacked a Sauron back in manuever, then that's a -18, plus the -4 for GoF.

Exert Elrond to stack Forearmed, then draw it with banner to gain initiative again.  Repeat at will.

It's not movie, but give me a couple copies of Forearmed and I might be able to give Fiend a run for its money (read: probably not).  Anyway, I have always wondered what happens if, say Elrond is fighting multiple six-strength minions.  Does Forearmed affect their combined strength?  Does it push one minion into the negatives?  Or what?

(Sorry for stealing your focus CwOrk, I just thought you might be interested too)
