More yet to come

Okay, question about this card:

Say I have Durin, Proud and Able, and Frodo at Fords of Isen.

The opponent lays down three small orcs, then a cave troll and a balrog.

Okay, so I play Disquiet of our people to make Durin defender plus 2. I then assign the orcs to him. The balrog and cave troll go to Frodo. After winning Durins skirmish (He's damage plus 9 and the orcs are 2 vitality), I play More Yet to Come. Here's the question. Do I get to reassign: 8 wounds?  24 wounds? or 2 wounds? Anyone know?

The Balrog and the Cave Troll would need to go first, as More Yet to Come targets minions who are not assigned. And you would get to assign 8 wounds.

Right. My thought was 8 wounds since it says *A* minion.

Yeah...but he has The One Ring the Great ring + Bounder + Sting, so he's fine.

The way it works is, Durin wins, so each Orc takes a wound, then his damage bonus. +1 is enough to kill them, so the remaining +8 are applied to MYtC

Does this count when overwhelming? Or does kill imply only he minion dies in skirmish by wounds...

My guess: He won a skirmish, and no wounds were applied, so all of them can be assigned?

sharkey is correct in his assumption. A Dwarf still kills a minion. No wounds were applied. You may apply the remaining wounds to minions not assigned to skirmishes. Take that, Goblin Scrabbler!

...remaining wounds caused by damage bonuses...

ie.  A dwarf with damage +2 overwhelms a minion, 2 wounds (not 3) can be assigned via more yet to come.

Nah, I think I'm right on that- "If a Dwarf kills a minion in a skirmish and that minion did not take all wounds caused by that Dwarf's damage bonus, assign those remaining wounds to minions not assigned to a skirmish. " I think my logic still works.

Overwhelming does not cause wounds. It sends characters straight to the dead pile. Straight from the CRD.

I think Elgar is cautioning not to include the "default" wound with MYTC, as may have been implied earlier. The default wound does not come from a damage bonus.
