I'd rather make a deck that consistently wins than have one companion who is more badass than Sauron.

You know what else is more badass than Sauron? Fourth Level and a Gondor Bow. Or Fourth Level and Citadel of the Stars.

Or two Slaked Thirsts and a card stacked on Preparations.

Well sometimes I'm pretty straight forward and I will pick beating Sauron by strength over sneaky tricks any day Especially smaller characters, growing extremely large is awesome. I have a pesky little hobbit deck, with the Tale Pippin, that can grow to 24 strength max in my deck, which is great.

Yes, he's probably going to die with Black Breath/Dart, 4 Dwarven Hearts, & Blade Tip, the 4 Too Lates will cost 16 twilight/turn for Dwarven Heart alone, and assigning him to a skirmish will be a big hassle because of DDotR (discard 6 cards and add 2 burdens), but, hey, he sure is big now! He's also bearing 6 cards less than two full starter decks.
