Ok first of all, this deck is all about having fun playing something different.

The Free People abuses The Nine Walkers with these all the races in the game (if you know another one I can use, please tell me, Smeagol has no-race by the way). I suggest you mulligan if you don't get one in your first hand. I have the classic Hobbit, Wizard, Man, Elf and Dwarf... and also added some extra flavor with Ent, Tree and Wraith. I have support for all those races with Servant of the secret fire, Trust me as you once did and even Gimli and Legolas can be quite useful. Oathbreaker is probably the best wraith I can splash as it discard possessions which helps vs Easterlings, Dunland and Mumaks. I don't use Barliman because it would ruin The Nine Walkers for Aragorn.

This shadow is also pretty fun to play as I have never seen anyone use those Easterling. It's all about winning a skirmish with 'Exert to make damage +1' Easterling and kill companions by exerting and healing with Surging up or other Easterling that heal. Normally, a damage +2 minion is good enough to kill most companions. Small Hope is mostly used as a pump but it is also nice to have the 2 burdens for Easterling Army to perform well. Stampeded is such a nice possession removal and it could also potentially kill a companion during the fellowship phase. I also used to have Discovered, but I decided to remove it has it forces me to exert someone.

I actually made about such an easterling deck, but excluded all TT-block cards. Have to look it up. When I found it then I gonna post it! Like the idea with the nine walkers.

Also a Question! Ik know Smeagol/Gollum have no race, but can't remember if they also don't have a culture.. So do or don't they?

Your Easterling deck probably was a Standard one. I think Smeagol/Gollum have a culture and it's both the same. That's why some people use Saved from the Fire to get some Gollum cards.

They both have cultures, the same one. Which is what makes cards like Incited and Pitiable Guide Such powerful cards in a dual Gollum deck... you can retrieve and card you want from the discard pile.

I had the opportunity to play against this deck on GCCG. I was terrified when I saw Easterlings against my Frodo/Sam/Smeagol deck, but was amazed at the creativity of the deck. No Easterling Captain, no Vision From Afar, no Gollum, Stinker.

Sam ended up being the lone survivor at site nine, but a fierce minion in play would have toasted him. Very cool deck and not the standard Beasterlings run.

Sadly Easterling Berserker is not fierce.

Had you not said anything, I would have thought he was. You have impeccable integrity.

What kind of Frodo, Smeagol and Sam deck did you play, because normaly that kind of deck should not have a problem with Easterlings...?
