Movieblock Tournament Zwolle, Netherlands 28 february
« on: January 15, 2010, 01:05:51 PM »
The reason I post it here is that people who are not a member yet, can still see it!

Yeah, we keep it kicking in the Netherlands. Sunday the 28th of February we have a tournament in Zwolle. What was supposed to be a fun meeting between me and a shopowner that used to play in the past, has become a serious tournament. Well numberwise then, cause we like to keep it cool.

For those who want to participate  :hey: here is some info:

We play in Games'n'stuff in Zwolle (www.gamesnstuff.com)
We start at 12, each round will take 60 minutes.
We play Movieblock, Reflections included, RotK sites.
You can bring as many decks as you like.
We play at least 4 rounds, maybe more.

For X-list:

0P2 Bill the Pony
0P5 Horn of Boromir
1R40 Elrond, Lord of Rivendell
1R45 Galadriel, Lady of Light
1R80 Ottar, Man of Laketown
1U108 No Stranger to the Shadows
1R139 Savagery to Match Their Numbers
1R195 Relics of Moria
1U234 Ulaire Nertea, Messenger of Dol Guldur
1C248 Forces of Mordor
1R313 Sting
2R32 Flaming Brand
3R38 Aragorn, Heir to the White City
3R42 Horn of Boromir
3R67 The Palantir of Orthanc
3R68 Saruman, Keeper of Isengard
3U106 Bill the Pony
3C108 Frying Pan
7U49 Steadfast Champion
7C96 Gondorian Captain
8C1 Aggression
10U2 Memories of Darkness
10C91 Mordor Fiend

Proxies are allowed for sites, and if you need cards to play with, just PM me.

Can this be stickied until the tournament? Otherwise I have to bump it constantly...

Well of everything I've got. There's one shortcomming... ROTK-block sites... don't know how that has happened with hosting 3 collections... (my own, Menno's and Erwin's... when they stopped active playing they gave their collections to me). But I'll take all the sites I've got with me.

About replacing relics depends on what you play..
You can choose:

One card less for faster cycling
if you play with sneak you can play with fool of a took or with that Gil-estell uses in his lttg deck which ables you to show the bottom card.
Or put in an extra minion or weapon/possesion
Extra enquea
If you play with archery you might want to play with a dessert lord.

Difficult to advise if there are so many possibilities with playing moria

Hey Heije,

Had no time to thank you for the nice afternoon. I enjoyed it big time! It was nice to see old faces again:)

Speak to you soon about the amsterdam tournament. I think you're right we should do movieblock with multipath, but with original x-list.

Cheers,

Jw

Now I'm going to sleep, because I'm exhausted by the games and travelling and also because of the upcomming operation next tuesday.

It ended up in just casual play without a tournament structure. I went up 3-1. Played 3x with dauntles hunter and won 3x thx to dunlend shadow. 2x because I could force my opponent to move again (Mc tonno (corsair/ents) and Eric Minkes (who I hadn't see in about 3 years; Sauron hate bowmen and stuff/rohan)) and 1 x because I could give 8 archery to my opponents dwarves on site 9, which menat that all his comps died except Gimli, but het took on the one ring and had 4 burdens. So he couldn't add threats and was forced to add 2 burdens which corupted him. Shadow was a combo of moria with isengard orcs bomb.

The one I lost I used a different deck (which was allowed). I played Smeagol with sam, merry, pippin and galadriel as starting comps (so that I would cycle faster) but there I didn't get any support for my fs and my opponent played twilight nazzies. Meant that on site 5 I had to add either 2 burdens which would corrupt me or discard my hand which would kill me as well. Don't know what others did. I stopped playing after 4 matches because of a very nasty headache and because of that the person who drove me wanted to go home.
