Dwarf Swarm (freeps only)

Dwarf Swarm (freeps only):

Gimli, BoG
ToR, RoD

1x Dain Ironfoot (starting)
4x Dwarf Guard (starting)
1x Durin III (starting)
3x Gandalf, LotC
2x Radagast, TB

4x Saved from the Fire
4x SotSF

1x AoE
1x Gimli's Battle Axe, TW
4x Dwarven Axe

1x Ring of Fury
3x Ring of Accretion
1x Ring of Artifice

Well, this Deck is about playing a large Fellowship, and possibly triple-move with radagast. Saved from the Fire is pretty useful to get the cards you need, as burning a Dwrven Guard that already took an archery wound isn't so hard at all. The Deck draws many cards, especially with Book of Mazarbul and with ring of Accretion, both pretty strong in Dwarf Swarm though. Except for Saved from the Fire, this deck is pretty cheap, and most cards are from Movie Block anyway, except or Ring of Artifice which can be replaced by another Ring of Accretion.

Ring of Accretion draws you cards in the manuever phase - and only fellowship cards. Won't this choke up your hand with fellowship cards (as you run few events and most cards won't play until your next felloswship phase. Seems to me like easy moves for your opponent - but i am not an expert on Standard block mechanics. Unless you are using Ring of Accretion to build up Ring of Artifice.

Why two axes (and different ones at that) that deploy on Gimli? What about Gimli's Battle Axe from set 1.

Other than that - i like what you are doing with Gandalf LotC, Dwarf Guard and Saved from the Fire

Book of Mazarbul only works on Fellowship sites though, right?

I never knew that Book of Mazarbul was restricted in its effects to sets 1-3.

Rubbercarp is correct - see page 9 of Comprehensive Rules 4.0 under Block Symbol

"When an effect says 'site X of higher' it applies only to sites from fellowship block"

*Book of Mazarbul*
Oh no..
But you were right about the Rings, they are pretty useful together.
And as for the Axes, AoE is Gimli's Axe and Gimli's Battle Axe, TW is for Durin III, as it can be used for each Dwarf.
I replaced the Books with 2 SotSF, cus' you'll always need that.
